What a Super Half Term! 🕶️💧⛺

Wow, what an absolutely incredible half term holiday club we’ve had! The weather truly played ball, and we have had the absolute best time with the children.

Water play was a massive deal this week! We had the water pistols and super soakers out a lot to help everyone cool down and have a blast. 💦

When we weren't splashing around, we were finding the best shady spots under the trees and relaxing in the hammocks. 🌳⛺

We aren't kidding when we say that almost every single toy from both inside the club and out in the shed was pulled out and played with at some point this week! It's been amazing to see their imaginations running wild. 🧸🧩

We got the nets up on the field for some summer tennis and badminton, alongside plenty of den building, Hama bead masterpieces, and creative colouring. 🏸🎨

It has been an all-around great week packed with fun and happy memories!

We are back to school on Monday 1st June for the very last half term of the academic year. Time is flying, but we have so much to look forward to over the coming weeks, including:

* The PTFA Summer Fair 🎈

* Our annual Year 6 KOOSC Leavers Party 🥳🎓

* ...and plenty more fun on the field! 🏃‍♂️☀️

📅Our Summer Holiday Club bookings are set to go live in the first couple of weeks of June. Keep a close eye on our social media pages and club noticeboards for more details and booking forms very soon!

Happy Friday! It is definitely feeling a bit cooler today compared to earlier in the week, but don't let that fool you - it is still set to reach 20°C with plenty of sunny spells! 🌤️🌡️

Please remember to dress the children appropriately for the weather so they stay comfortable. Light layers are perfect for a day like today! 👕👟

We will be doing much of the same today with lots of outdoor fun, and there is still a strong possibility of some water play later on!
Because of this, a change of spare clothes is recommended today. At holiday club, if it’s not water play making them soggy, it’s usually crafting paint, mud, or grass stains ending up everywhere! Nothing stands in the way of fun, play and imagination here, so a spare set of clothes is always a good idea - just in case. 🪵🎨🏃‍♂️

Still essential for today:
Sun hats & morning sun cream application 🧢🧴
Refillable water bottles to stay hydrated 💧

🎾 Thursday Fun: Sports, Crafts & Cooler Weather! 🎨🏸

Good morning everyone! It is feeling a little bit cooler today (so far anyway!), which is a very welcome change of pace! 🌬️🙌

We are looking forward to another wonderful day at holiday club packed full of arts, crafts, and plenty of outdoor play. Because the weather is playing ball, we might even get the tennis and badminton nets up on the field later for some proper summer sports fun! 🎾🏸

☀️ Holiday Club Day 2! 🌳💧

Happy Wednesday! We are geared up for another beautiful, sunny day at holiday club.

Following on from our update yesterday, we wanted to give a huge shout out to all the parents for helping the kids pack their sun gear.
Yesterday really proved that it is actually much hotter inside the building than it is outside, even with all our blinds down and doors and windows open! Because the natural breeze under the trees keeps everyone so much cooler, we will be spending much of the day outside seeking shade again today. 🌳💨

What to Pack Today:
To help the children stay perfectly comfortable while they play, here is a quick checklist for today:

Light & Loose Clothing: We highly recommend sending children in light, loose-fitting clothes to beat the heat. 👕👗

Water Play & Change of Clothes: We are planning to do a bit of water play to help everyone cool down! Please pack a spare change of clothes just in case they get a little soggy. 🌊👕

Water Bottles: Please ensure they have a refillable bottle so they can keep drinking plenty of water during our outdoor activities. 💧

Sun Cream & Hats: Don't forget to apply that morning layer of sun cream and pack their labeled hats and bottles for top-ups! 🧴🧢

Lunchbox Ice Packs: If they have a packed lunch, please pop a cool block inside to keep their food fresh while we are out on the field. 🧊🥪

☀️ Pack Your Sun Gear! It’s Going to be a Scorcher! 🕶️🌡️

Happy first day of the half term holiday club! The sun is shining beautifully, and it is set to be a hot one today.

We have heaps of awesome, cool activities planned to keep us busy while beating the heat! We'll be making the absolute most of our great shady spots on the field for outdoor games, den building, and chilling out away from the direct sun. 🌳🕵️‍♂️

To make sure the children stay safe, cool, and comfortable while they play, please could parents double check that they have the following essentials with them today:

Sun Cream: Please apply a layer before they arrive, and pack a named bottle in their bag so they can reapply throughout the day. 🧴

Sun Hats: Essential for keeping the sun off their faces! 🧢

Water Bottles: A refillable drink bottle so they can stay hydrated. 💧

Cool Blocks: Please pop an ice pack inside their lunchbox to keep their food fresh and chilled. 🧊🥪

Thank you to everyone who entered our 'DESIGN A LEGO MINIFIGURE' competition, we have had so many entries and they are all absolutely brilliant and so creative.

The youngest entry was 4 and the oldest was 46 years old!

We will be announcing the WINNER next week so watch this space.

What a beautiful way to finish the week! We have been blessed with some absolutely lovely weather to wrap up this half of the term!

🍦✨There was a brief moment of sadness when the PTFA fair ran out of ice lollies - but never fear, KOOSC came to the rescue! Thankfully, we had plenty of ice cream cones and flakes on hand at the club. The children enjoyed an early afternoon treat before heading out to soak up the gorgeous sunshine on the field.

🧩🧱 It has been a busy and creative week both inside and out! We've enjoyed plenty of our favourite activities, including lots of board games, Hama bead masterpieces, and creative colouring, some brilliant Lego creations and plenty of outdoor play soaking up the fresh air on the field.

The children worked incredibly hard completing their "Design Your Own Lego Figure" entries for The Trading Post - Kingsbridge competition. We have some seriously talented designers at the club! 🧱✏️

⏳🎒How is this half of the term finished already?! The weeks are completely flying by. Before we know it, it will be time for our Year 6 celebrations and the summer holidays!

📅Speaking of summer, we are hoping to open our Summer Holiday Club bookings during the second week back after half term. Keep a close eye on our social media pages and the club noticeboards for updates on when the booking forms will become available!

☀️🎨The weather forecast looks beautiful for the half term break. We are so excited to welcome the holiday club children after the Bank Holiday weekend (starting Tuesday!) for days packed full of fun, outdoor play, games, and crafts.

Non-Uniform Day! Don't forget that tomorrow is a non-uniform day at school. 👗👕 Donations can be handed in at class or via parent pay.

Ice Lolly Money! 🍦 Don't forget to send the children in with some pennies if they would like to buy an ice lolly after school tomorrow!

🚨 LOST TEDDY: Can you help find Pikachu? 🚨

We have a very sad little club member this week because a well-loved Pikachu teddy has gone missing! 😿⚡

He was last seen at KOOSC, and we are desperate to find him and send him back home where he belongs.
Please check the photo below (and maybe have a quick peek in your child's school bag or under the car seats just in case he hitched a ride home by accident!). 🎒🚗
