Next month, we will be celebrating the 5th Anniversary of our group's founding.

I like to thank everyone who has supported us and I am very proud to be leading this group.

Having started as a humble Facebook group of a handful of people in July 2021, we can look back and be fairly pleased with where we're at.

Given the challenges and obstacles thrown our way, I have done my best to solve these issues and to allay your fears. I wish we had made more progress by now, but I hope everyone understands the difficulties of working with public bodies, sourcing grants, and bureaucracy.

I believe that we are in a great position. We have the funds secured for the first stage of work, which includes a new pair of roofs, brickwork repairs, ceiling timber and a new canopy.

I have no doubt that it will take much longer to finish what we set out to do, but I am determined to make it happen.

I have never taken a penny out of the project, as the biggest reward for me will be people's smiles when we eventually open our doors.

Thank you as always.

We are just £60 shy of our fundraising target for a letter box for Middleton Towers. Please consider donating and spread the word far and wide.

If we do not reach out £200 target, then we will receive £0 and donations will be returned. It is "all or nothing" 🙏

We are running a prize draw to raise funds to purchase a faithful replica of the old Victorian-era post box at Middleton Towers.

In our future organisation's model rules, paid-up members will all have an equal vote (one member, one vote) at general meetings.

**We are asking for opinions on what a fair annual membership price would look like.**

Existing members will not be transferred over to the new organisation once it is set up, as we would require them to cancel their existing membership and sign up using the new platform, which will be released shortly after we become a charitable community benefit society.

It's safe to say that nature has taken over since the start of spring.

The garden is a low priority at the moment, but we would be most grateful if anyone could volunteer to help keep it tidy.
