We are delighted to get our latest initiative underway, with the start of our Brighten Up project.

We have identified 20 areas in and around the Town Centre where the railings will benefit from being cleaned down and repainted to bring them back to their former glory.

All materials funded by We Make Kilmarnock and a huge thanks to our volunteers for making this happen.

We have a stall at the East Ayrshire Federation of Tenants & Residents Big Day Out this Thursday (6th August) at Ayrshire College.

We have a few items of lost property which were left behind after the Kilmarnock Fair Festival a couple of weeks ago.

We thought now might be a good time to reintroduce ourselves.

We Make Kilmarnock is the organisation responsible for managing £20 million of investment from UK Government, awarded to Kilmarnock in 2024, as part of the Pride In Place program.

The money will be distributed approximately £2 million per year for the next 10 years.

We are headed by a Town Board and have a small team working on projects behind the scenes.

We Make Kilmarnock are not part of East Ayrshire Council although we will work in collaboration with them on some projects.

All projects within our plan have been created after many hours of public consultation and address issues highlighted by the people of Kilmarnock.

Well what can we say?

What an incredible day we had. A huge thanks to everyone who helped to make our third Kilmarnock Fair Festival such a success.

There’s too many to list here but we are so grateful for your support and encouragement.

It was such a pleasure to see so many people of all ages enjoying a real community day out and we were even blessed with the weather ☀️

Thanks again and we’ll see you next year 😉
