🌿🔥THIS IS WHAT COMMUNITY LOOKS LIKE 🌿🔥

Great to see Bealltainn at Kilchrenan featured in The Oban Times — have a read here:

(And if you’re more of a paper-in-hand person… you’ll just have to wait until next Thursday 😄)

Kilchrenan Village Hall came alive on Saturday 2 May as the community gathered for its first Bealltainn celebration — the traditional Gaelic festival marking the turning of the seasons

WE'RE STILL SMILING AFTER BEALLTAINN AT KILCHRENAN — it was something really special 🌈🎻🔥

Young and old, local and visitors from afar all agreed: this is what community looks like.

Check out this short video capturing the highlights of the night — and keep smiling a little while longer 😊🌿🔥

🌿🔥 What a day… Bealltainn at Kilchrenan 🔥🌿

Rain, rainbows, and a lot of magic… 🌈✨

From morning to night, people of all ages, from near and far, came together to welcome the summer — and made it a festival to remember.

🙏 A huge thank you to everyone who made it happen:

💚 GreenPower, Awesome Energy & Mowi — for your financial support

🧘 Tearlach MacDonald & 🌿 Vicky Manning — for starting the day so beautifully with yoga and foraging

🥁 Jane Hodge — for bringing the rhythm and getting us all involved

🎶 Rachel & Cameron — for the brilliant live music throughout the evening

🎤 The Loch Awe Voices & Stephen Williams — for the Kilchrenan Fire Chants that were so special

🌸 Dolly’s Bloomers — for the beautiful flowers

🍔 Gilberts — for keeping everyone fed with an amazing BBQ

👏 And to all our volunteers and performers — who quietly (and not so quietly!) made the whole thing come together

And finally — thank you to everyone who came along.
You brought the energy, the warmth, and the spirit that made the festival what it was.

🌿 SKY LANTERNS CEREMONY - WE WON'T DO IT AGAIN🌿

We want to say sorry for using sky lanterns at Bealltainn.

We genuinely believed we had done everything responsibly — only launching after heavy rain to reduce fire risk, and using lanterns we understood to be fully biodegradable and safe for the environment.

However, we’ve since learned that the bamboo frames can still cause harm to animals, which we weren’t aware of at the time.

That’s on us — and it’s not something we’ll be doing again.

If you do come across any of the lanterns, we’d really appreciate you picking them up and disposing of them in your normal household waste.

Thanks for your understanding 🌿

Looking forward to see everyone at 7pm for the big Bealltainn celebration 🔥🎻🎶

🌿🔥 Bealltainn is ON… rain and all! 🔥🌿

Well… it wouldn’t be an Argyll summer without a bit of rain, would it? ☔😄

So here’s the plan:
🟢 Festival wellies on
🟢 Blankets at the ready
🟢 Up for a bit of fun

Because no matter the weather — we are ready for a brilliant day.

🌿 We’ve got shelters in place
🔥 The fires will be lit
🎶 The music will play
🌸 Flower crowns will be worn (rain or shine!)
🥁 The drums will still beat

So come along, embrace it, and join us for a day of
music, singing, food, fire and celebration — Kilchrenan style.

👉 7PM Evening event free (ticketed): over 60 people have booked a ticket but we have room for a few more. So please just come along.

Big thank you to Green Power, Awesome Energy and MOWI for providing the financial support to make this event happen.

🌿🔥 Rain or shine… we’re welcoming the summer anyway. 🔥🌿

🎶 What a week of music at Kilchrenan Village Hall! 🎶

From first notes to full voices… it’s been something special.

On Tuesday morning, 13 new harp players took their first steps with Ailie Robertson — and by the end of the session, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star was already coming to life ✨

Then yesterday, 25 voices came together with Stephen Williams and The Loch Awe Voices to create something truly powerful — the very first sounds of the Kilchrenan Fire Chants 🔥
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of a room full of people singing together… apart from singing outside in the sunshine along with the birds.

And we’re just getting started…

🌿 Bealltainn is next Saturday — and the music continues! 🌿

🥁 Join the drumming circle in the afternoon — no experience needed, just come along and feel the rhythm
🎤 Or come along in the evening to enjoy live music from Rachel and Holli
🔥 And be part of something special as we bring the Kilchrenan Fire Chants to life in their first ever performance

This is what community sounds like ❤️
