A Message from Mick & Oli
After a lot of thought and consideration, we have decided that the time has come for us to step back from running the lake at Wicksteed Park.
We want to make it clear that this decision has nothing to do with Wicksteed Park, our members, or the general running of the lake. It is purely down to personal reasons and, quite simply, not having the time anymore to dedicate to the lake in the way we feel it deserves.
We will remain the current tenants of the lake until 31st March 2027, so it will be business as usual in the meantime.
Looking ahead, we are now looking for an enthusiastic carp angler, or a group of people, who would be interested in taking over from us and continuing to develop and grow the fishery.
We are looking for someone who shares our passion for fishing and has the enthusiasm and commitment to take the lake forward.

Over the next few weeks, we will get back to interested parties with a suitable time for an informal chat/meeting to discuss things further.
There will be a cost involved in taking over the assets from Edge Angling, including items such as pumps, trailer, lawnmowers, power equipment and other associated assets. Further details of these will be discussed with genuinely interested parties.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported us during our time running the lake. It has been a privilege to be involved, and we are very proud of what has been achieved.
We hope to find the right person or people to take the lake forward and continue to grow the fishery for many years to come.
