Barton Seagrave Village Hall

Barton Seagrave Village Hall Barton Seagrave Village Hall is a brand new Community Centre which will offer a large Main Hall, a 2nd Hall, a family friendly Cafe, Meeting Room & Nursery

Finally, after many years of wishing and waiting, your new Village Hall is taking shape on the Redrow estate just off the new Manor Road entrance. Having listened to residents desires for such a facility for so long, we believe the Village Hall will be an invaluable and exciting asset to the Village as it will provide:

> Dedicated and secure Nursery
> High ceiling sports & events Hall
> Secondary

community Hall
> Family friendly Café Lounge

The construction project should be completed by March next year and we are aiming to open the Village Hall to users in May, once we have finished equipping the building for use. The facility will be owned and managed, on behalf of the community, by the Barton Seagrave Parish Council. Ours aims are clear:

To provide a Community Resource Centre for the people of Barton Seagrave through which individuals of all ages, and community groups, will have access to meeting spaces, advice, information and guidance, educational, social and leisure opportunities.

Salvation Army Clothing Bank

Unfortunately, today without any warning the clothing bank at the Village Hall has been removed. Members of the community can still donate to the network of charity shops or remaining clothing banks.
The second-hand textile sector has been experiencing a sustained decline over the past 24 months, with no indication that this trend will reverse in the near future. Like many charity collectors, SATCol is experiencing challenging market conditions. A combination of global, local and economic pressure has significantly affected the textile reuse and recycling sector and means they are no longer able to cover the full cost of collecting and processing donations through their clothing bank network.

Due to these challenges, they have reviewed their clothing bank network across the UK. As a result, they are removing a number of clothing banks in areas.

As the bank was heavily used by members of the community we will look to see if any other charity will be willing to place a clothing bank at the village hall.

We thank you for your donations in the past.
