Christmas is a time for giving, and once again we're asking our wonderful local community to help us make Christmas a little brighter for families who are struggling. 🎁

As we prepare for our annual Christmas deliveries, we're collecting donations of festive food and treats to add something special to the food parcels we deliver. ❤️

🎁 We would love donations of:
🍫 Chocolates and selection boxes
🍪 Christmas biscuits and sweet treats
🎄 Mince pies and Christmas puddings
🥫 Tinned meats, vegetables and festive essentials
☕ Hot chocolate, tea and coffee
🍬 Any other festive goodies!

📍 DONATION DROP-OFF POINTS:
🛒 Co-op, Thrapston
🛒 One Stop, Thrapston

✨ Even the smallest donation can make a BIG difference to a local family this Christmas.

Our community has always been incredibly generous, and we're hoping that together we can bring a little extra joy to those who need it most.

❤️ A MESSAGE TO LOCAL FAMILIES THIS SEPTEMBER ❤️

Message our page if you need a little help🙏🏽

The kids are back at school, school uniforms have been paid for, the summer holidays have cost a fortune… and now we’re heading into those difficult few months before Christmas.
I know money can get tight.
So throughout September, I want Jamie’s Butchers to do what we can to help local families.
If you’re working to a certain weekly food budget, please feel free to privately message our page and tell us:
👉 How many people you’re feeding
👉 Roughly what your budget is
👉 What sort of meals your family enjoys
We’ll then see what we can put together from the huge range of products we have available and try to get you as many good family meals as possible for your money. ❤️
And please, DON’T feel embarrassed about messaging us.
When I was a young dad in my 20s, bringing up a family and running a business, I knew how hard things could be. Now, with four children myself, I understand more than ever just how expensive family life has become.
That’s why I want to do this.
We have a massive range at Jamie’s, and if there’s something we haven't got, there isn't much we can't source.
You tell us your budget and we'll genuinely try our best to help. 💪🏽
We receive a LOT of messages, so if we don't reply immediately, please bear with us. We'll keep these conversations starred for follow-up so we can work our way through everybody.
This starts TOMORROW and runs throughout SEPTEMBER. ❤️
This isn't about giving things away.
It's about helping people make their money go further, putting together sensible family food packages and looking after the community that has supported our business for so many years.
Times are tough for a lot of people.
Sometimes you've just got to stick together, look after each other and do what you can.
❤️ PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.
🏷️ TAG A FAMILY OR FRIEND WHO MIGHT BENEFIT.
📲 SEND IT TO SOMEONE PRIVATELY IF YOU THINK THEY'D RATHER NOT COMMENT.
You never know who might need that little bit of help right now.
Let's look after our local community this September.

❤️ Could you spare just a couple of hours on a Tuesday morning?

Right now, we're looking for volunteer delivery drivers to help deliver food parcels to local families and individuals who need a little extra support.

It's only a few hours of your time, but it could make a huge difference to someone's week. Every parcel delivered means someone in our community knows they're not facing difficult times alone.

🚗 Tuesday mornings
📦 Deliver food parcels across our local area
💙 Flexible, rewarding and a great way to give back

If you'd like to find out more, or think you could help, simply send us a Facebook message. We'd love to hear from you.

Even if volunteering isn't possible for you right now, please share this post. It might just reach the person who can help.

Together, we can continue bridging the gap for those who need us most. 💚

🧡 EMPTY CHAIRS IS COMING TO THRAPSTON 🧡

Throughout the first week of June, I’ll be trialling the amazing Empty Chairs campaign alongside the fundraising work we’ve recently been doing for CALM — the Campaign Against Living Miserably — a charity providing life-saving su***de prevention services and mental health support.

So… what is Empty Chairs? 🪑

It’s a simple but powerful idea designed to help tackle loneliness and social isolation by creating a welcoming space where anyone can come and sit for a chat.

No pressure. No awkward expectations. No need to already know someone.

Just people connecting with people 🧡

Each day, we’ll reserve a small table at the pub and leave a few chairs empty — inviting anyone who fancies some company to pull up a seat.

Whether you: ✨ fancy a coffee and a chat ✨ are new to the area ✨ work remotely and miss human interaction ✨ have been feeling isolated lately ✨ want to meet new people ✨ or simply don’t want to sit alone…
…you are more than welcome.

Come for 5 minutes or stay for hours. Come alone or bring someone with you. There’s absolutely no judgement and no expectations.

Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is pull up a chair 🧡

📍 The Fox Inn, Thrapston
📅 Monday 1st June – Sunday 7th June
🕰️ 3pm – 7pm
🧡 Everyone is welcome

Find out more here: https://emptychairs.org.uk

Loneliness can affect anyone, at any age.

Empty Chairs exists to create relaxed, low-pressure spaces where genuine human connection can happen — even if it’s just sharing a drink and a conversation.

If you think someone could benefit from this, please share this post or invite them along 🧡

And if you’d like to get involved and help to host one of the days (all you need is something orange to wear and a friendly smile 😊), pop in and see me before the 1st!

Zoe xx

💚 A HUGE thank you to Harvey! 💚

Harvey kindly delivered lots of food donations to Thrapston FoodBank using the money he raised after completing the Titchmarsh Run 🏃⭐

We are incredibly grateful for Harvey’s kindness, determination and generosity at such a young age. The donations he has provided will make a real difference to local families who need a little extra support ❤️

It’s amazing to see young people in our community thinking of others and doing something so positive. Harvey, you should be very proud of yourself — we certainly are! 👏

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You 💛

Today we want to take a moment to recognise and thank an incredible volunteer who has been part of Thrapston FoodBank since the very beginning.

Her unwavering support, kindness and weekly commitment have made such a difference to so many people in our community — she has truly been at the heart of what we do.

While we are sad to see her step away, we are so grateful for everything she has given over the years. She will be greatly missed by us all. 💐

From everyone at Thrapston FoodBank — thank you for your dedication, compassion and time. You have left a lasting impact that won’t be forgotten. 👏

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Harvey (age 6) for choosing to support Thrapston FoodBank as part of his upcoming 3K run at the Titchmarsh Run next Sunday 🏃‍♂️💛

Harvey decided himself that he wanted to raise money to help local people who may be struggling, and we are incredibly grateful for his kindness and generosity at such a young age. What an amazing thing to do for our community 👏

We are absolutely blown away that he has already raised £226 through online and offline donations — thank you so much to everyone who has supported him so far!

If anyone would still like to donate and help Harvey reach an even bigger total for Thrapston FoodBank, you can do so here:
