Ecoffins

30/09/2026

It's the 1st of October tomorrow and things are starting to feel a bit more Autumnal. Autumn reminds us that change is simply a natural part of life. The leaves turn, the landscape transforms, and one season gently gives way to the next.

Our natural coffins reflect that cycle — simple, beautiful, from nature, connected to nature and made to return to nature. Like our tag line says "From nature...to nature".

A farewell can be simple, personal and connected to the natural world. 🌿🍂

For those looking for a funeral that feels closer to nature, a woodland burial can offer a peaceful and meaningful alternative..

Surrounded by trees, wildflowers and birdsong, natural burial sites provide a beautiful setting for saying goodbye — while allowing the landscape to remain as natural as possible.

Natural burial can also have environmental benefits, from avoiding the use of embalming fluids to using biodegradable coffins and shrouds that are designed to return naturally to the earth.
At Ecoffins, we believe a coffin can be both beautiful and kinder to the planet. 🌎

Behind every Ecoffins coffin is a pair of skilled hands.

Our craftspeople weave, shape, and finish each piece with care — using techniques passed down through generations.

We’re proud to support traditional skills, local growers, and fair partnerships around the world. 🌏

Sustainability, for us, is as much about people as it is about the planet. 💚

At Ecoffins, we believe a coffin should be a natural part of a life lived — and willow is a beautiful way to reflect that.

Our willow coffins are traditionally handwoven using the renewable, fast-growing natural material. Willow grows back quickly after harvesting, making it a sustainable choice with a lighter environmental footprint.

But it’s not just about sustainability. Willow is warm, natural and beautifully tactile, creating a coffin that feels personal, gentle and connected to nature.

From the fields where the willow grows to the hands that carefully weave each coffin, every part of the process is rooted in craftsmanship and care. 🌱

A natural farewell, made with nature in mind.

🌸 Funerals don't have to follow tradition.

More families are choosing celebrations of life — personal gatherings centred around the things that made their loved one unique.

🎵 Favourite music
📸 Cherished photographs
🌿 Meaningful places
💬 Stories, memories & laughter
❤️ Hobbies, passions & personality

A celebration of life can take place before or after a burial or cremation, or whenever feels right for family and friends.

There’s no right or wrong way to say goodbye. A farewell should feel as unique as the person you’re remembering. 🌸

🌿 Eco-friendly doesn't have to mean ordinary. 🌿

A breathtaking sunset, a favourite holiday destination, a beloved pet, a classic car, a beautiful garden, or even a piece of artwork that tells your story – your farewell can be as unique as the life you lived.

💚 Choosing an eco-friendly coffin doesn't mean compromising on personality. It means creating a meaningful tribute while being kinder to the planet.

✨ Here's a question for you...
If you could have any picture on your coffin, what would it be? We'd love to hear your ideas in the comments. 👇
