The next meeting of the Wye Historical Society will start 15 mins earlier (at 7.15pm) for the AGM. Following swiftly on will be a talk given by Dr Sheila Sweetinburgh, titled " A Gateway County: Migrants in 15th-Century Canterbury and Kent". Sheila is a Specialist Associate Lecturer in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the University of Kent. Please see below for details.

A reminder that the second meeting of the Wye Historical Society season is on Wednesday 5th November at 7.30pm in the Lady Joanna Thornhill School Hall.

William Burges (1827-1881) was, in his own time, renowned and respected and has been described as “the greatest art-architect of the Gothic Revival". His work includes the Maison Dieu (Dover).
