Taking place in Kendal, this Festival has been part of Westmorland's musical life since 1885 when Mary Wakefield, daughter of a Kendal Quaker banking family and a keen musician, assembled local choirs to sing and compete together.

🌟JIM NOBLE AWARD🌟

After a fantastic week of performances earlier this month, we were lucky enough to be able to select a handful of the most memorable performances for our showcase concert. The concert also included our prestigious Jim Noble award which saw
Daisy Lees (voice), Shona Fell (piano), James Leonard (bass), Jacob McKee (guitar), Marcella Nield (singer/songwriter) & Leo Yeung (piano/Songwriter) compete for The Mary Wakefield Challenge Trophy. Our adjudicators Ian Gray, Alan Noble & Elizabeth Ball decided to present this award to Leo Yeung & Marcella Nield.

A huge congratulations to all our performers who took part in the festival this year and we hope to see you for next year's festival. Stay tuned for more information...

With so many wonderful young singers entering into our festival this year, we had to split some of our junior vocal classes in two to showcase their brilliant talents. With over 20 competitors in the Year 9 and under category it was a really tough decision for our adjudicator but please find the winners below:
