24/01/2023

Welcome everyone.
Observing yourself, knowing your body and knowing your mind.
The mind is wholesome or unwholesome? Is it soft and gentle?
Keep observing it then you will see the change.
Sometimes it is good, sometimes not. It is impermanent.
This is a person who is practicing.
We have to practice otherwise we will be in the cycle of birth and death endlessly. Suffering will never end.
We need to practice and do it often until it becomes a habit.
Keep reciting…. knowing, understanding, giving kindness and letting go.
Understand others and understand ourselves.
Then give kindness and let it go.
The mind will be comfortable as a result.
If you don't practice, the mind will sink in darkness and be unwholesome.
The sentient beings are bound by karma.
If we are those who practice, who do not follow their desires and do it often, it will be easy.
Like we never give up (to defilements).
The mind will be strong, patient and be able to endure so that we will be in comfort.
Those who have wisdom will not commit a sin,
and especially will not have negative thoughts towards others.
When we follow a negative thought,
our speech and actions will not be good.
If we practice well, we can handle anything that comes to disturb.
The four foundations of mindfulness are the main path of practicing.
When feeling sleepy, acknowledge it.
Then try to find a way to get rid of it, it will be a way.
If we never resist the sleepiness,
are willing to be sleepy, it is called Nunthi.
Feeling pleased to be in sleepiness that is to submit to defilement.
We must acknowledge it.

External sense. Eyes see form, ears hear sound, nose smells odour, tongue senses a taste and the body touches.
Internal sense; thoughts or emotions. Our duty is to observe it.
When at school, we learnt a lot of things about the outside world.
Now we are learning about ourselves.
Practicing ourselves. When eyes see the form, do we get carried away by it?
When ears hear sound, Nose smells odour, is there any mental formation created?
When tongue tastes a food, are any mental formations created for example delicious or not delicious, like or dislike?
Is your mind neutral?
For example, bad smells, some do not like but some can stand it.
Even nice smells, don’t fall for it.
Many are in suffering because they can't find peace
especially, they keep following their desires.
Craving for these, craving for those, when it can't be fulfilled, then they feel suffered.
Craving will lead to suffering. Is it better to cease the craving?
Wishing you happiness, auspiciousness, completeness and fruitfulness in both spiritual and material wealth.

23/01/2023

Welcome everyone.
Staying in the present moment, this is called mindfulness.
When feeling happy or sad, light or clear and comfortable or uncomfortable, always observe it.
If we can't observe the mind, we have to observe the body.
When observing the body, mindfulness will arise.
Then the awareness of suffering, happiness or neutral feeling will come.
The 4 foundations of mindfulness: awareness of body, feeling, mind and mind objects will be easy.
Sending the mind out will create suffering. This is called Samudaya; the cause of suffering.
The result is being subject to suffering.
Maintaining a good mind state is Magga (the path to the cessation of suffering). The result is not being subject to suffering.
There will be no defilements and no mental formation.
Those who train their mind well will always have mindfulness. Some hardly practice so they are slaves to their thoughts and let the five hindrances fully enter their mind.
The mind won't be free and won't be clean.
The clean mind does not cling to anything.
We just keep observing ourselves.
Acknowledge how we feel when there is no suffering or no defilements.
How we feel when having true happiness without any mental formation.
In the past, we always created mental formation.
From now training the mind will be easy; just keep observing yourself.
We can recite Bhud-dho continually
or acknowledge the rising and falling of the abdomen
or just acknowledge what happens in the present moment.
It doesn't matter whether it happens inside or outside, just acknowledge it.
You don’t have to find its cause and don’t have to investigate it.
When it happens, just be aware of it and let it go.
Acknowledge that we feel suffering because we get carried away by the thought. Then cease it and be calm.
Seeing the impermanence of the body. Birth, old age, sickness and death.
The impermanence of our mind and of other people's mind.
Then we will feel enough of this.
The feeling of love, greed, anger and delusion will be ended.
But we have to do it often until it becomes easy.
Make it a habit.
Make your mind to be in a present moment.
Live with the truth;
the truth of the mind.
Be aware of the things that lure us,
The many temptations.
Search for happiness from form, taste, smell, sound and touch. These are five sensual pleasures.
These are not true happiness.
Wishing you all to be happy and fulfilled in good wishes in worldly life and in Dhamma until attain Nirvana

22/01/2023

Welcome Everyone.
When we listen to Dhamma preaching, our mind will be lighter
from the problems and suffering.
Buddha teaches us to believe in the law of karma.
Today is the result of previous actions.
Present actions affect what will happen in the future.
Buddha teaches us to refrain from doing bad things and to keep doing good.
Always make the mind bright and pure.
Cultivate loving kindness as your habit.
Always Forgive others.
Don't pay attention to the bad side of anyone
or bring their bad karma into your mind.
We should keep the good side of everyone in our mind.
Keep our minds to be wholesome.
Think good, speak good and do good will lead to the good.
Everything will turn out according to what we think.
The mind is the worst enemy
that can make us do bad things anywhere anytime.
If everyone understood this,
They would make sure their minds
are in a good state and are beautiful always.
Many of you who are listening might have a problem
more or less.
Always have Dhamma in your mind.
Do not be sad or sorrow.
Do not be discouraged.
Accept everything that happens.
Do not blame anyone, Forgive everyone.
Be with everyone with happiness at heart.
If a mind can smile, a face will also have a smile.
But if a mind is cheerless, the face will be like that too.
Always have a smile in your heart regardless of the situation you are in.
At present
some people are doing well
but some are not.
Some people are fighting with their mind.
Some feel discouraged.
Please remember that
everything shall pass.
Remain patient.
This too shall pass.
In each second, minute, hour, each day
At the end, nothing lasts long.
Everything will end.
Our mind will get past this.
Well-trained mind will bring happiness.
Staying in suffering without feeling suffered;
staying in suffering and see the suffering ends.
This is Nirodha (in the Four Noble Truths). The cessation of suffering arises.
When it reaches the end of suffering,
suffering will be no more.
Be able to tolerate suffering.
When it is over, the mind will be comforting.
I would like to give encouragement to everyone.
Suffering doesn't last long.
Suffering stays for a long time because our mind clings to it.
Suffering can turn to be happiness
even the suffering does not go away.
Only we understand,
stay with it and accept it.
Our mind will be happy.
Even suffering is not extinguished but we understand it
and be able to tolerate it, our mind will be happy.
I rejoice in your merit for listening to the Dhamma preaching today.
Wishing you all the happiness, auspiciousness, completeness and fruitfulness for both spiritual and material wealth.

21/01/2023

Welcome everyone.
When you are in much sorrow, your mind won't be joyful.
You must be mindful, then slowly fix your feeling.
When it's very sad, no happiness;
your life will not be filled with enthusiasm.
Our hearts will wither.
We have to find the way to cheer up the mind to be joyful.
Observing the mind whether it is positive or negative.
It is happy or unhappy.
We have to know it always.
Knowing and fixing it by ourselves.
If the mind has not been trained well,
when there are any problems or any obstacles in life,
you will see them as a big issue, then feel discouraged.
Don’t want to do anything and feel tired to keep going.
The important thing is the encouragement
which can be developed.
Smile, accept everything and have kindness for everyone.
Understand everything and everyone.
Give forgiveness even though to someone who does not understand us
or to the ones who do not think, speak or act good to us.
We will always forgive.
When being absent minded, it is ok. Just quickly bring your mindfulness back.
I would like to encourage everyone.
Everyone is equally important.
At least try to help others to have less suffering with kindness and compassion.
Having a good wish for everyone to be free from suffering.
When suffering,
just realise that there are many people who suffer more.
Our suffering is
little when compared to their suffering.
We are fortunate to still have breath,
have a house to live in and have food to eat.
We have to realise the truth of life.
Why we were born, what it is for and what we want in life.
The Lord Buddha teaches that birth, old age, sickness and death are suffering.
Do we truly understand that birth, old age, sickness and death are suffering?
Even though we are fulfilled in the worldly matters;
wealth, fame, honour, fortune, high rank and praise.
These are not the true happiness.
They are impermanent. So, what is actually the true happiness?
Search for the true happiness that lies in the mind.
That is calm and always have kindness.
Train our mind to accept everything that happens.
Not that we have to get everything we want.
Otherwise you will feel hurt when you don’t get what you want or the thing you get is not as expected.
Try to keep a good mind state and cultivate loving-kindness.
Thinking of Buddha always then you won't feel alone.
Wishing you all to be happy, to be auspicious, to be prosperous and to be fulfilled in good wishes.

20/01/2023

Welcome Everyone.
Observing our mind.
When we are mindful,
aware of ourselves,
and aware of anything that comes into our sense.
The eyes see form.
The ears hear sound.
The nose smells odour.
The tongue experiences taste.
The body experiences touch; cool, hot, soft or hard.
The mind experiences emotion or feeling arising in the mind.
When we acknowledge it
and not create any mental formation or follow it,
our mind will be calm.
Now many people are in the same room.
If we all are calm,
the room will be in silence.
We will be able to hear the sound of silence,
it sounds like vink .. vink .. vink.
But if anyone starts talking or being restless,
it will destroy the silence.
There can be a lot of feelings arising in our minds
such as restlessness, distress, anger,
dissatisfaction or sometimes feeling envy or upset.
We don't see them clearly. There are too many (emotions) to catch.
But some people never tried to catch these emotions at all.
When there are a lot of defilements and one can't handle them,
suffering will come.
The cause of suffering is craving.
Three cravings are:
Craving for sensual pleasures,
Craving for existence
and Craving for non-existence.
These are the causes of our suffering.
Craving for sensual pleasures
is attachment to forms, tastes, odours, sounds and touch. These are the 5 sensual pleasures.
Craving for existence
is wanting to have or wanting to be a thing one likes.

Craving for non-existence
is not wanting to have or not wanting to be a thing one dislikes.
One doesn't want to take what s/he dislikes.
For example food, we like this food
then we feel like eating it. But if we don't like this food, we don't want to eat it.
We don't like this person, don't want to see and don’t feel like talking to him/her.
But we like that person so when we meet, we want to talk to him/her.
This is the emotion that we should recognise and acknowledge.
The conditions that arise within our minds.
Now that we are aware of it, we can cease it and let it go.
We will not be in suffering
because the cause of suffering is no longer there.
Some may not realise that spoiling self
causes suffering.
It makes defilements stronger.
We need to learn to be disappointed.
To realise that disappointment and fulfillment are equally the same.
We won't always get what we want.
This is the truth.
Sometimes, we don't get what we hope for.
We have to accept everything that occurs
and accept every situation.
But of course it is suffering, not being able to get what we wish for.
Do not spoil yourself too much.
It makes the mind weak.
We will not be able to cope when anything comes to disturb the mind.
Wishing you all to be happy and to be fulfilled in good wishes in both worldly and Dhamma affairs until reaching Nirvana.

19/01/2023

Welcome everyone.
When you stay abroad, it is far from home.
Sometimes feeling alone, sometimes facing problems and obstacles.
If the mind has been trained well, then it will be cognizant of those thoughts and emotions.
Try not to let the unwholesomeness arise.
The simple way is to give loving kindness to everyone.
When having kindness, we will
think good, speak good and take good actions.
Our mind will be soft and gentle.
It is normal that something would come to disturb our mind.
Fulfillment or disappointment, it is normal.
when your hope is fulfilled, don’t be careless.
When you are disappointed, don’t be discouraged.

Try to keep going.
Even though someone might not understand us.
It is okay that they don’t understand us.
But if we understand and give kindness to everyone.
Our mind won't suffer much.
Keep trying not to make anyone unhappy.
Take care in your thoughts, speech and actions
when doing anything.
Whatever is happening, if we accept it, we will be at ease.
similar to when staying in the present moment, it will not feel stressful.
Sometimes we don’t get the result we wish for, don’t let ourselves be in suffer.
Understanding everyone and accepting everything.
Like a business owner wondering why today there are not many customers.
It is normal, more or less it depends on timing.
When accepting everything, you will be happy wherever you are.
When you look at everyone with kindness and purity,
you will see only the goodness of everyone.
Even when seeing their bad part, you will not take it,
or make yourself feel bad about it.
Then your mind will be pure and happy.
It will be light, soft and gentle.
When there are any problems, it can be compromised.
Feel sympathy to others, this is a positive thinking.
Be positive.
Be positive, then your mind will be wholesome.
This is opening the door to merits and good karma you have done in the past.
This will lead you to be successful in whatever you do
in worldly life and in Dhamma.
Also have a kind mind,
when someone in sorrow asks for help
even when we are tired and busy
or feel irritation and want to push away as we don’t want to give a hand.
But if the mind is gentle,
we will consider others' suffering as important.
We will try to help to release their suffering.
Wishing you all souls to be happy and fulfilled in good wishes in worldly life and in Dhamma until you attain Nirvana.

17/01/2023

Welcome everyone.
Wishing you all to be happy, be mindful, have loving kindness.
Be aware of everything that comes into your mind; your six senses which are sight, sound, smell, taste, touch and mind.
Even in the midst of problems,
wish you have a wisdom to be able to solve it,
have encouragement and mindfulness.
Be able to handle suffering
and turn it into happiness.
Acknowledge, understand, be kind and let go.
Don't be too attached to anything;
especially conventional things in this world.
Nothing is ours really.
We will leave this world when the time comes.
As per the law of karma we will be born again. We don't know what we will be in next life.
It totally depends on our good and bad actions,
the mindfulness and wisdom we have accumulated and the Dhamma we have gained.
Always have loving kindness and help others when we have a chance.
Those who have loving kindness will be happy.
The mind will be soft, gentle and not rigid.
The Ego and self-conceit will be less.
A lot of loving-kindness together with mindfulness and wisdom
can lead to deliverance by loving kindness.
Attain enlightenment on the basis of loving kindness.
It will be difficult for defilements or unwholesomeness to enter the mind.
If it comes into the mind, it will be easy to get rid of it. Life will be happy.
Open the door for merits always. Merits will lead to success and fulfillment.
If our mind is in an unwholesome state, it opens a door for sins.
Sin will lead to dismay and suffering.
A wise person will always open a door for merits.
What Master has taught are the four foundations of mindfulness.
Mindfulness of the mind; knowing the mind always and keeping a good mental state.
Then The Four Sublime States - loving kindness; keep kindness as your basis.
Lastly, Buddhanusati Kammathana (Thinking of Buddha Practice), thinking and appreciating Buddha always.
Wishing you all to be happy, to be filled with good wishes, and overcome any obstacle.
Just thinking of the Dhamma as your mental nourishment.
These are the triple jewels of Buddha grace, Dhamma grace and Sangha grace.
Wishing you all to be happy, to be auspicious, to be prosperous, to be fulfilled in good wishes and to be kind
to lead sentient beings to understand Dhamma.
