We’d love to see as many of you as possible at this Wednesday’s public meeting!

This is an exciting stage for our community hall, with updates from the Stage One Scottish Land Fund. An architect will be there to present the proposed plans, and the community enterprise team will share information on the consultation process, including key findings so far.

Your voice really matters. This is your community hall and space, and it’s important that we hear your thoughts, ideas, and feedback on the proposals being put forward.

Come along, get involved, and help shape the future of Talla Stafainn 💬

And to top it off, there’ll be catering provided after the meeting by The Hungry Gull 🐦🍽️

Staffin Community Trust is delighted to announce it has awarded the long-term lease of the newly built harbour facilities building - which includes a small retail space and public toilets and showers - to Corran Coffee, a new locally-based start-up business. The new premises supports jobs and business and the rent received will be directly invested in meeting the running cost of Staffin Harbour, which has been in community ownership for less than two years. Afternoon Facebookers, a belated post and some pics to thank everybody who supported and attended Staffin Harbour's very first Christmas tree lighting event. A historic occasion you might say, and we were truly heartened by the turnout and support. 120 hot dogs were quaffed and think we could have provided more! There was a band of cheerful, willing helpers who worked hard behind the scenes and our sincere appreciation to Mackenzie Stores, Staffin Stores, Hungry Gull, Staffin Sea Sauna for supporting the community harbour event. Thank you to Staffin's talented young pipers Heaven and Prayer and to Effie MacLeod from Digg who switched on the lights. Taing mhòr agus Nollaig Chridheil!👏👌

Second FB post of the hour, we're getting prolific on the socials... There's been encouraging progress made on site with the new Harbour Facilities Building, as the pictures show. Excellent work by Ewen MacColl Joinery and his team.👌 The project is being supported by the Scottish Government's RCGF and Islands Programme funds. We were also pleased to welcome Angus MacDonald MP to the harbour for a visit last Friday along with his colleague Andrew Baxter who will be contesting the Scottish Parliament election next year.
