Hello All!
We at Greener Ipswich CIC are happy to announce that we have just finished our official launch project!
Located at the lower end of Tower Street, where Tower Street meets Tavern Street, you'll find a beautiful row of planters, put together by an amazing team of volunteers and professionals.
The planters themselves were made, and installed, by the 'Men's Shed', a great group of guys who are very much community driven. This particular project was overseen by Dr. Robert Brooks, who ensured the planters were of the highest quality, and made to last! If you like the sound of this, maybe you'll feel like checking out Eden-Rose Coppice, a charity founded, and managed, by Rob.
You can find them here:

The Trees and Plants were sourced by the wonderful Mia Witham, a hands-on professional. Mia has designed the layout of the various Flora present in our new planters, and has ensured everything is in place herself. If you'd like to know more about Mia then you can find her website here :

Taking care of the heavy lifting, and helping with all of the planting, were our truly marvellous team of volunteers!
As a non-profit organisation, Greener Ipswich prides itself on making a genuine change to people's lives by revitalising areas, and we couldn't do it if it wasn't for our team of volunteers!
And for all this fantastic news, this is only the beginning!
Greener Ipswich CIC has already been awarded two other areas in Ipswich which are in dire need of some TLC.
Stay tuned for those!
We at Greener Ipswich would also like to thank the organisations that helped us to achieve such an excellent start to our vision for a more vibrant, and greener, Ipswich. Without Ipswich Minster, The Ipswich Institute, and the New Wolsey Theatre, we wouldn't be able to accomplish so much in so little time. Thank you!
We would also like to thank those at Oakley Turf for all of our top soil needs!
It is truly a blessing to be a part of such a meaningful project, bringing nature back into our city, and it's a project you can get involved with too!
We are actively seeking volunteers, with varying degrees of availability, so that we can continue to grow our small, but dedicated, team into a small army, ready to tame the wilds of Ipswich!
If you are interested in volunteering then please do comment below, or send us an email at [email protected] and we will get back to you as quickly as we can!
Because none of this would be possible without the representatives from Suffolk University, Ipswich Central, Associated British Ports (ABP), and Suffolk Food Hall, to name a few.
Thank you to everyone that has been a part of this transformation!
And thank you to everyone who will join us along the way, even if it's only for a short stay!
Stay tuned, Ipswich is about to get a whole lot Greener!
