Last Wednesday, we hosted a cheese and wine night for our fellow young farmers of Debenham Young Farmers Club and Hadleigh Young Farmers . 🍷 🧀

We had some delicious cheese and wine at our amazing venue who put on a fabulous evening for us and made it a perfect event!

We hope everyone enjoyed the evening as much as we did, and we look forward to meeting up with our friends at other clubs again soon! 😎

🪺🐦‍⬛ Calling All Local Wildlife! 🐦‍⬛🪺

With spring around the corner, it’s never too early to think about local wildlife.

Our members have been busy making bird boxes which we will be supplying to local public buildings, pubs and public spaces to give nature a home. We’re hoping to get some of these put up in parks, schools and any other spot that people walk by so as many people as possible can enjoy experiencing nature!

On Thursday night, we were celebrating national sausage week with a Butchery demonstration from George at G Debman Family Butchers

George performed a fantastic demonstration on butchering half a pig and explained all the different cuts of meat that went into it.

It was also interesting to hear him explaining the history of the shop and how he uses Colchester market to source high quality meat from local farms, making it evident that he prides himself in traceability of his produce.

We are very grateful to George for giving up his time to talk to us and thank him for a fantastic evening and of course for the goodie bags of sausages! 🥩 🥓🍗
