Famine Relief for Orphans in Malawi F.R.O.M. Scotland (SCIO) was formed in 2005 and became a registered Charity in 2007 No. SC037977. The charity aims to raises funds for orphans in Malawi.

FROM Scotland (Famine Relief for Orphans in Malawi) was formed in 2005 and became a registered Charity in 2007 No. The Singer and entertainer Fiona Kennedy is patron of the Charity. The object of FROM is the raising of funds on behalf of deprived children in Malawi, both orphans and those children in areas where basic resources for subsistence are inadequate. Funds are made available for:

a) Buyi

ng food and maintaining such shelters where food is distributed. b) Supply of seed and fertiliser to encourage a degree of independence. c) Provision and maintenance of medical supplies and equipment. d) Any other appropriate provision of materials for famine relief, as approved by the Committee. e) Covid 19 emergency provisions such as hand sanitisers, face masks etc in medical facilities in Blantyre and surrounding areas. All money raised (so far to date over £500,000) has been used for projects in Malawi overseen by Dr Tracy Morse of Strathclyde University who has regular contact with Malawi.
