SSAFA Inverness-shire and Western Isles

SSAFA Inverness-shire and Western Isles We are the Inverness-Shire & Western Isles branch of SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, providing trusted support to our Forces and their families.

Formed in 1885 to support the families of members of the British Egyptian Expeditionary Force. It is the oldest of the Military Charities and has given continuous service ever since. Just as it supported families in the beginning so it does in 2015 where it is needed more than ever. Serving and non serving members of the three forces, their families and associated organisations are welcome. If you know someone who needs our help please tell them about us - now.

In Inverness today, the Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons) Regimental Association held their annual Regimental Gathering.

The Inverness-shire and Western Isles branch of SSAFA was there with a stand.

Despite the poor weather, members of the branch raffled a nice bottle of whiskey and connected with plenty of lovely people who all had very high praise for the work that SSAFA do.
