Our Story
The Highland HIV Patient Forum (HHPF) is an independent advocacy group. We are a small group of volunteers living with HIV in the Highlands and access services provided by NHS Highland. Our aim is to ensure people living with HIV have their voices heard on issues that are important to them, defend and safeguard their rights and have their views and wishes genuinely considered when decisions are being made about their lives.
By working proactively with service providers we aim to ensure HIV services meet the needs of the people they are provided for and to represent the collective voice of all HIV positive people and service users across the region and within the wider Scottish and U.K. community.
The Highland HIV Patient Forum was founded in June 2015, and the group is supported and funded by NHS Highland.
The HHPF is open to anyone living with HIV in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland. If you would like to get involved or contribute to the group come long to one of our bimonthly meetings or if you prefer drop us an email or send us a text with your views and comments. The group meets every second month on the third Wednesday of each month in Inverness, please email the group for more information, dates and venue.
