Guys, we have launched a really exciting new life skills programme called The Family Hub, in partnership with Care and Learning Alliance

This is a new series of FREE work experience sessions held at our Training and Reuse Village on Carsegate Road, Inverness, which come with onsite play and support for children. Sessions start on Monday 27th April, run from 9.30-2.30 and the programme is eight weeks long.

It has been a special day for us today, as we bid our lovely deputy chief executive Mairi, a very happy retirement. Mairi has pioneered the delivery of a wide range of our support services and over the past two decades has given thousands of people a pathway out of poverty and crisis. In the words of our chief executive James, “She holds an unwavering sense of purpose and is a true inspiration. New Start Highland would not be what it is today without her exceptional contribution.”

Thank you Mairi, for all your work and care, our appreciation for you goes beyond words. 🫶🏼

Today why not give Highland Foodbank a follow. Our team there do such a wonderful job of coordinating what food items are needed and giving emergency food parcels to people who need them when they are reaching crisis points. Your support, even a follow, or a donated toothbrush, means so much. 🙏🏼

This is our last post for the “40 Items in 40 Days” challenge for Lent! Thank you everyone who had kindly contributed, we can't help those in need without your kind donations, so THANK YOU!! On the list today is the final of our Very Important Items! Here's the last four items for the challenge:
- Tin of mince/stew
- Tooth brush
- Jar of jam
- Easter egg

Items can be dropped off at any point during the collection at our warehouse on Glebe Street or at New Start Highland on Carsegate Road.

We 🫶🏼 working in partnership with other businesses in our community. We remain steadfastly grateful to the brilliant team Jammy Piece for always supplying our New Start Highland - Gardens with their used coffee beans which we can turn into compost. 🪴 Spring is springing (although it doesn’t feel like it today! ❄️) and our Gardens are coming back to life.
