A big thank you to everyone who came along to our AGM this evening! 💚

It was lovely to see our members, share updates and enjoy some great conversations after the meeting.

A special thank you to Foyers Community Stores for providing the delicious cakes - very tasty and very much appreciated! And thank you to Jo & Jim Cameron who kept everyone sorted with drinks 🍰☕

We’ll be sharing more about our new trustees soon, and everything presented at the AGM will be uploaded to our website for everyone to read.

And yes, there were definitely more people there than in this photo! 😂📸

💚 Good news for our Community Larder! 💚

We're absolutely delighted to have been awarded £5,000 from the Volant Charitable Trust, via Foundation Scotland, even more than the £3,600 we originally applied for! 🥳

This funding will help us keep our larder stocked with essential everyday items through a weekly shop, particularly during the more expensive winter months when every little bit can help.

Our larder is for everyone in our community, offering a welcoming place to pick up essentials alongside the surplus food we receive through our work to reduce food waste.

We're so grateful to the Volant Charitable Trust and Foundation Scotland for supporting our wee charity and helping us make a real difference locally. 💚

📢 7pm - BCC AGM - Stratherrick Public Hall
Our Annual General Meeting takes place at Stratherrick Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.

📸 2027 CALENDAR PHOTO APPEAL! 📸

It’s that time of year again! We’re looking for your beautiful photos of the Stratherrick and Foyers area for our charity calendar, and we need your help! 💚

We’re looking for high-quality landscape photos that will print well and showcase the beauty of our local area. Wildlife is welcome, as long as the landscape takes centre stage. (Sorry, no pets!)

📸 When submitting your photos, please include:
• Where the photo was taken
• The month it was taken

📅 Deadline: 4th November - that’s just two weeks away, so get rummaging through those photo collections!

We can’t wait to see our beautiful corner of the Highlands through your eyes. Every photo helps us create a calendar that celebrates our community and raises funds for a good cause.

🍂 A little time for you this winter 🧘‍♀️💚

As the days get shorter and the colder weather sets in, it’s more important than ever to look after our overall wellbeing. Taking a little time to slow down, move our bodies and quiet our minds can make a real difference.

We're delighted to welcome Christiane Morely to the Hub for weekly Hatha Yoga classes, starting Sunday 1st November, 10-10.30am.

✨ Classes are free to attend, with donations to BCC are encouraged.

Whether you're new to yoga or simply looking for a gentle way to support your wellbeing, why not come along and give it a try? Everyone is welcome! 🥰

Come along for a cuppa, a chat and a bit of friendly company over a game of Triominoes. It's a lovely way to catch up with familiar faces, and we'd be delighted to welcome some new ones too!

🏡 Changeworks - Free Energy Advice - 10.30am-2pm
Changeworks will also be joining us at the Hub, offering free and impartial advice to help you manage your home energy.

Whether you're worried about energy bills, need help understanding your options, want to make your home warmer, or would like advice about funding you may be entitled to, pop in for a chat with their expert.

🎁 Free warm packs are also available! These include useful items such as LED bulbs, draught-proofing strips and secondary glazing film, while supplies last.

🎄❤️ Christmas Day at the Hub ❤️🎄

We know it’s a little early, but with Christmas already creeping into conversation, we thought it was time to share the details of our Christmas Day pot luck!

We had such a lovely day last year, with good food, good company and plenty of festive cheer, and we’re looking forward to doing it all again.
