We're just days away from Innerleithen Open Studios 2025, and we've still got some amazing artists to share with you. Tonight we're sharing the work of Jules Bradbury and Hazel McLean

Our first artist is Jules Bradbury, Jules is a visual artist living and working in the Glen estate.

Her work is centred around drawing and experimental printmaking working primarily in charcoal and pastel, sometimes using fluid mediums of watercolour or ink, spilling over into monotype.
Currently, she's moving between drawing and painting and enjoying blurring the boundaries.

Jules runs workshops for the public, art students & creative practitioners that form an extension of her artistic practice. She share's her experimental approach and encourage people to explore new ideas.

Hazel McLean B.A - Hazel is a local artist, who relocated back home in 2016 and has enjoyed exhibiting in various galleries & shows locally and further afield. Her preferred medium is oil, although she does use acrylics and mixed media on occasion.
This is Hazel's third year as part of Open Studios and although she is unable to open her mycro~studio this year, her works will be on display in Brewing with Graham Riddell and .
Hazel accepts commissions. .mclean.art

Local photographer Graham Riddell Photographer will be showing a selection of photos from his 50 years as a photographer .
Graham's passion for art photography finds its expression through observing and capturing the natural environment around him.

Graham's style of photography is most suited towards those who share his values and connection with nature. Sometimes shooting open vistas and landscapes, whilst other times picking details of form, shape, colour and light, then attempting to convey the emotional connection and perspective of what he has resonated with.

Graham describes his approach and art process -
"photography is more than a technical image or captured moment. It is an interactive process....….the distillation of engaged emotion”
