Out of Ink - Printmaking Masterclasses with Ann Louise Keiran!

Discover the world of printmaking exploring techniques including Dry-point, Chine-Colle, Carborundum, Collagraph, Mono, Lino and Gelli printing.

Ann Louise is hosting the classes at her studio at Tweedvale Studios, Walkerburn on Saturdays 11am- 4pm.

Prices - £35 - £55 per class - all materials and equipment provided.

It's nearly Art Trail weekend! So what's happening in Innerleithen?

It'll be a packed weekend...

- The Cleikum Belle trishaw will be operating around Innerleithen, connecting studios on Leithen Crescent to Traquair Road and the High Street. Pick it up outside Gowaan offices at the old bank on the High Street.
- View the group show in Findra
- Take part in a collaborative artwork with Glen Leslie at venue 24 on Traquair Road, learn some new painting and mark making techniques.
- View the work created by the young people at Tweeddale Youth Action at venue 12 Chapel Street.
- Eight artists showing work in studios, lots of windows along the High Street packed with art in these brilliant businesses.

There's lots happening in Walkerburn over the Art Trail weekend.

1. Visit the artist studios at Tweedvale Mill - location 25
2. Visit David MacCallum's fantastic photography exhibition at the Henry Ballantyne Club - David will also be giving talks about his work throughout the day.
3. Visit the group show at Walkerburn Village Hall, drop in workshops for kids.
4. Join a walking tour of Walkerburn and learn about the history of the mills and the village.

*Workshop*

Artist and printmaker Gen Harrison is running a Bookbinding workshop, learn how to make an A5 notebook with exposed spine binding. This type of binding leaves the spine uncovered showcasing the sewing technique used,

No previous experience is necessary.

Sarah Long and Moy Mackay are both artists based in Traquair.

Sarah uses oils and pastels to weave her love of nature and wild animals into her work. You can see Sarah's work at venue 29. Sarah Long Artist

Moy Mackay is an award winning artist, she uses merino fleece and stitch to create felted paintings. Moy will be opening her studio at venue 30.

Our Art Trail is open to all ages, see what art work the young people at Tweeddale Youth Action have been creating.

Their exhibition is on Saturday 26th Sept. 11am -2pm at Innerleithen Youth Club 24 Chapel Street Innerleithen.

Food, tea and coffee will be provided!
