It’s nearly a once in a lifetime meeting tomorrow evening - for two reasons, firstly Rob Milne will be talking to us about plants 🌺🌷& will be demonstrating how to plant a pot for display (the pot will then be raffled) and secondly we have the solar eclipse ☀️🕶️🌒 (the last total eclipse was in 1999).

Don’t forget to bring “something garden related” for our monthly competition. 🪏🫜

We continue to collect ambient food for the pantry at the Intact Centre - all contributions are welcome. 🥫

Most importantly- bring your cup!!! ☕️

Looking ahead to September, if you have anything that you wish us to keep in the archives, dig it out & bring it with you to the September meeting.

Come along to Chipping Village Hall for a fabulous evening where beautiful flowers meet the timeless style of Coco Chanel.
Through stunning floral designs and entertaining stories, we'll celebrate the life and legacy of Coco Chanel in a fun and engaging way. Whether you're a flower lover, a Chanel fan, or just fancy a great night out, there's something for everyone - including a complimentary welcome drink!
Browse the pop-up shops before the show, during the interval and afterwards. You'll also have the chance to win one of the spectacular floral displays in our raffle, plus we'll be holding a free surprise raffle with lovely prizes donated by our stallholders.
Everyone's welcome! You don't have to be a WI member to come along, and it's not just for the ladies either – bring your partner, friends, family or neighbours and enjoy a great evening with us.

What a fab day out! We were delighted to welcome two guests from other local WI groups - Sheilagh & Sue who came with us on our visit to the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth. This trip was inspired by our speaker earlier this year, Martin Domleo. We listened to a very informative & fascinating talk from Paul before we started our tour of the Parsonage. After a tasty lunch (no cake involved!!! 😂) we were able to wander round sunny Haworth & returned home in good time thanks to our lovely driver, Andrew.

The RHS Garden Bridgewater was the destination for our intrepid explorers today! We donned our sun hats 👒 & and spent a fun day wandering, admiring the floral displays 🌺🪷🌼& getting ideas for our own gardens. Thanks to our very own guides - Susan, Anne & Carol for telling us about the various plants & shepherding us round the estate!

Oh my aching body!!! Last night we found muscles we didn’t know we had! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 Thanks to our speaker Julie Graham who put us through our paces with chair exercises. Hard work but fun and It’s so so useful to know how to strengthen our bodies with simple exercises that we can do at home.
Don’t forget that she also runs classes at St Margaret’s Church on Mondays & Fridays if her session has inspired you to explore fitness further.
