To end a fantastic Fringe season, we have a special line-up 😊
- Ilkley Young Writers Anthology Launch: our current Young Writers have joined together with former members and workshop leaders to contribute to an anthology, Words Hanging Off Trees. Listen to excerpts and get your copy!
- Made Up Improv: enjoy games and sketches made up of your suggestions, their imaginations and a dollop of Yorkshire wit.
- Charlotte and Bek: a vocal harmony and song-writing duo.

It’s our penultimate Summer Fringe event this week! Come down to Ilkley Manor House Courtyard this Thursday from 6.30pm and enjoy performances from:
- Barbara Howerska telling stories of change and challenging perceptions with her up front poetry
- Bring Me Sunshine Trio playing a mix of classic, folk and popular music using string trio, voices, guitar and percussion
- Chalk and Cheese offering thought-provoking conversations and plain silliness in their poetry

With our third event coming up this Thursday, we’re nearly halfway through our Summer Fringe. We hope you’re loving it as much as we are!

This week’s line-up includes:
- Poetry by the Wharfedale Poets: COVID turned everything upside down, but are we on the other side yet?
- Alex Callaghan, a non-binary poet from Yorkshire, specialising in wit and whimsy. Laughing is encouraged but not mandatory.
- Spoke Poetry Hub are back with their Sisterhood event, featuring performances by four incredible poets.

We can’t wait for the second instalment of our Summer Fringe, taking place this Thursday 4 August from 6.30pm at the Courtyard!

- Rhubarb Triangle reading from their sophomore anthology Seconds, published to celebrate the popular Shipley open mic’s 50th event!
- Anita Simic sharing silly rhymes as well as serious sonnets, exploring where inspiration comes from.
- The Otley Troubadours reading from The Walrus Said in a performance full of surprises.

Our first Summer Fringe event is taking place this Thursday 28 July from 6.30pm at the Courtyard!

Bring your friends and family and enjoy an evening of relaxed performances featuring:
- Addingham Singers performing folk, pop and choral music
- Kitty Donnelly reading powerful poetry exploring the human condition, poverty, mental health, and the power of nature
- Promoting Yorkshire Authors who will be bringing their work to life in a reading that will make their characters leap from the page
