We’re very worried. We have never seen our warehouse so empty, and now, for the first time ever, we’re out of crucial items, such as long-life milk, biscuits and fruit tins that make up our three-day emergency food parcels.

Every week, in Redbridge, our dedicated volunteers run 7 food bank sessions across the borough, where people in crisis can get the support they so desperately need.

Please, can you help? There are lots of ways to get food to us:

Online via Give today - Your donations are delivered straight to our warehouse.
https://givetoday.co.uk/redbridgefoodbank/

In person - you can drop off food at a Redbridge Foodbank collection point that we have at a number of supermarkets.
https://redbridge.foodbank.org.uk/give-help/donate-food/
Bring the food to us at Jubilee Church, which is open Tue 11am – 12.30pm, Wed: 2pm – 3.30pm, Sat: 10am – 12.30pm.

Here are the items we so desperately need:
Tinned fish
Tinned meat
Tinned tomatoes
Rice pudding/Custard
Vegetarian items i.e. pulses, vegetarian stews/curries
Jams/spreads
Washing powder
Shampoo bars

Please share with your networks 🙏

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Mayor's Appeal during the mayoralty of Councillor Beverly Brewer, where Redbridge Foodbank was honoured to be one of the Mayor's chosen charities.
Over the past year, through fantastic themed event nights, quizzes, gala evenings and an incredible 2nd place finish in the London New Year's Day Parade, our community came together to raise vital funds that will directly support local people facing hardship.
Every ticket bought, raffle entered, donation made and word shared has helped make a real difference. Together, we've shown what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared purpose.
From all of us at Redbridge Foodbank, thank you to Mayor Beverly Brewer, everyone who organised these wonderful events, and every single person who supported the appeal. Your generosity will help us continue providing emergency food, practical support and hope to people across our borough.
💚 Together, we're building a stronger, more resilient Redbridge.

🍛 Would you come to a Curry Night for Redbridge Foodbank?
We're thinking about organising a brand new fundraising event and we'd love to know if there's enough interest before we go ahead.

We've been offered the opportunity to host an exclusive evening at a fantastic local Indian restaurant in woodford - with space for just 54 guests - at the start of December.

This would be part of our Big Give Campign match funding campaign and therefore your contibution would be DOUBLED!

Your evening would include:
🍛 A delicious three-course Indian meal
🎵 Live music throughout the evening
🥗 Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements catered for
❤️ The chance to support Redbridge Foodbank while enjoying a great night out

Tickets would cost around £45 per person, which would cover the meal, service charge and include a donation to Redbridge Foodbank.
As we've never run an event like this before, we're testing the waters to see if our community would be interested.

Would you come?

Let us know in the comments by saying "I'd be interested", or simply give this post a 👍 or ❤️.
If enough people are interested, we'll get planning and announce all the details!
