I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend and that half term treated you well.

It’s been a slightly quieter week in the cake kitchen, which has given us the chance to catch up on all those little jobs that always seem to get pushed to the bottom of the list!

From experience I know that with the recent heatwave, many customers were understandably making the most of the sunshine and heading to the beach rather than the cafés. Thankfully, things have cooled down a little now, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a busier week ahead.

Today, we’ve been making friands for a new customer. I absolutely love these little cakes — beautifully delicate, packed with flavour, and the perfect companion to a cuppa. ☕️✨

Happy Friday! ☀️ What a gorgeous day it’s been, and the bank holiday weekend is looking like an absolute scorcher!

This week has been incredibly busy and we’re so grateful for all your support ☺️
We delivered a full van load this morning, with another 4 deliveries going out tomorrow — so it’s a late night in the kitchen getting everything sliced, boxed, and labelled ready to go.
We’ve also added another fridge and freezer to help us through the warmer months! One day we’ll have a big unit with a walk-in fridge, but for now we’re making the most of the space we have 💪

This weekend will be all about reorganising and improving the flow of our workspace. Our new packing bench has already made such a difference — just a few more tweaks and we’ll really maximise the space even more!

This granola is way too good to keep to myself. I’m a bit picky when it comes to granola and usually avoid supermarket versions because of the sugar, so I tend to make my own now and then—and this batch is easily my best yet.
It’s a Honey Vanilla Granola, packed with all the good stuff. I’m just waiting on some packaging to arrive, and then it’ll be up on the website.
I can offer it as retail for your customers, or in larger bags if you’d like to feature it as a breakfast option on your menu 🫐🥜🌰

Banana Bread 🍌

Started as a customer request… now it’s finally made its way onto the wholesale menu! Can’t believe it took me this long, considering how many times I’ve baked it before.

These are big 3lb loaves, baked fresh to order and packed with plenty of bananas for that soft, rich texture. You can add dark chocolate chunks, walnuts, or go all in with both.

Made one for the family last night—highly recommend a slice toasted with Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit. So good 🤍.

Happy Sunday! ☀️ Hope your weekend’s been a good one. I’ve taken a couple of days away from the cake kitchen to help my middle child move—busy, but such a lovely time, and one very proud mum 💛
Now I’m sat with a coffee before heading back in to prep for next week’s orders. We’ve got some big cookie batches coming up, so Bertha the mixer is about to be working overtime! 🍪

Early start today doing a little hospitality shift at for Record Store Day with ☕️
Pulled up at 4:30am with a van full of treats and the queue was already HUGE… people had been waiting since last night 🤯
So nice to be back behind the counter – lovely customers, great coffee, good vibes all round.
Back in the kitchen this afternoon getting prepped for next week’s orders 👩‍🍳
Just a heads up: I’ll be away next Friday–Monday, so any orders placed then will be made when I’m back (Mon/Tues)
