Children from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities experience some of the worst educational exclusion in the UK (and elsewhere). They are an often forgotten group when it comes to inclusive education.

This Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month, why not commit to learning more about this group of learners?

Every June since 2008, people from across the UK have celebrated Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month (GRTHM). Through celebration, education and raising awareness, Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month helps to tackle prejudice, change the […]

“This vicious cycle of climate destruction, lost educational opportunity, and reduced skills for climate resilience is not an accident… At the heart of both educational exclusion and environmental degradation lies a common driver: the prioritisation of power, wealth, and control and the sidelining of equity and collective wellbeing.

On yesterday, EENET’s Ayman Qwaider presented a paper at an online event organised by CRIFPE - Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la formation et la profession enseignante.

You can now read the paper on EENET's blog:

“[Their] recommendations highlight the need to integrate climate and educational policies to anticipate smog-related closures, reduce unplanned disruptions, and address the inequities in how students experience climate reactive policymaking.”

The world’s corporations and billionaires keep getting richer on the back of illegal wars and climate destruction.

Ordinary people impacted by that minority's obsession with power and greed often seek support or advice from non-profit organisations. But while demand for these services grows, funding is shrinking.

In the UK, where EENET is registered as a CIC, the number of charity closures increased by 74% in 2024/25.

EENET has survived many global financial crises in its 29 years, but our funding this year is precarious.

So, if you’re wondering why we’ve been a bit slower to respond to enquiries, here’s why…

In 2026, we can afford just 9.5 person-days of work each month.

This means we have about 2 to 3 person-hours a day to do everything:
- organisational management and administration
- finance and fundraising
- communications, publications, social media, mailings
- website/IT support,
- advocacy and networking.

🥵

We’re being squeezed and stretched, but don’t worry, we’re not giving up!

Please just bear with us if we're a bit slower than usual responding to emails and messages. 🙏

💡 EENET Questionnaire: Help us create a new format for Enabling Education Review
https://bit.ly/EERsurvey2026

EENET has published an annual collection of inclusive education articles since 1997. It was originally called ‘Enabling Education’ and renamed ‘Enabling Education Review’ in 2012.

We printed and distributed hard copies for many years. The last printed edition was in 2022. After that, the cost of printing and mailing became unaffordable.

Now that we are no longer printing, we can rethink the format of Enabling Education Review. With funding limited, we also need to streamline the workload for producing it.

We’d love your help with choosing a new format! Please fill in our short survey to give us some feedback on your preferences.

This survey is anonymous, but if you want to contact us to discuss your feedback and ideas, please message us here or email: [email protected]

Thank you for your time.

The bombing of schools is a deliberate act to murder children and teachers.

Israel and the USA have demonstrated many times that their disgusting technology can assassinate individuals from miles away with pinpoint accuracy.

Yet they still want us to believe their lies that they ‘accidentally’ bombed schools full of children.

How many more children must be slaughtered before other governments step up to defend international law and human rights?
