Update: the Met Police has now completed its internal review of my Freedom of Information request โ and still wonโt release (or even properly consider releasing in redacted form) the legal advice behind its decision not to investigate Sadiq Khanโs defence of the โFrom the river to the seaโ chant.
Five months after I complained to the Information Commissionerโs Office, they still havenโt issued a decision. Iโve reminded them, in writing, of their clear legal duty under the FOIA.
The IOPC declined to use its power of initiative. MOPAC has refused to recuse itself and says its review could take up to eight months.
Every official route is moving slowly.
The full picture โ including the latest correspondence โ is in my new blog post:

If you believe public bodies should answer FOI requests properly and on time, please share this.
