Wow! A VERY big thank you to everyone, sellers and buyers, for such a great Yard Trail today. A Sunday well spent! We had lots of happy shoppers (including visitors from as far afield as Lincs and Notts), we hopefully all sold a fair bit, we had a good laugh, we've freed up space at home... and incredibly IT DIDN'T EVEN RAIN!!!!

Many people have asked how they now contribute some or even all of their proceeds to our chosen charity, HemingfordHub. It's very simple! Click on the link here;

Yard sellers... finally, just to say;

- We will be going ahead come what may... the forecast is looking promising and is looking less blustery than forecast a day or two ago (but may be worth having a garden umbrella and a plastic sheet at the ready just in case of a shower...)

- Anyone got anything particular interesting to sell?! Do post pics of your stall and anything you would like to promote in this thread! It's great to see how everyone else's stalls are looking as we will all hopefully be so busy selling, we may not get much time to look around! Visitors see these posts too - so let's see your wares!

Planning your weekend? Don't forget it's the The Hemingfords Yard Trail tomorrow with over 70 yards selling and gifting everything from children's toys, books, clothes and miscellaneous, home and garden items, books, CDs and DVDs, sports and outdoor equipment and even garden-produce and baked goods. Our village pubs and cafe will be open for refreshment and some of our stall holders are even serving refreshments. We can't wait to see you!

Looking for a bargain? The Hemingfords’ Yard Trail is back THIS SUNDAY (10am - 4pm, Sunday 24th September) and the trail map is live!

The villages of Hemingford Grey and Hemingford Abbots have joined forces with residents sorting out their lofts and garages in bid to clear clutter and raise money for a good cause! We have 70 plus yards for you to visit, rummage, bargain and buy from! We encourage you to walk or cycle from yard to yard, enjoy our pretty villages, chat with locals, stop for a cuppa and cake at some of our refreshment points and have a great day out!

Many yards are both selling and gifting items.

Refreshments are available on stalls where you see this symbol on the map and don’t forget to visit our fantastic village pubs and cafes; The Axe and Compass, The C**k and Gnawty Bites Cafe at The Grey House.

You can either download the map to your phone or print it out. (We suggest you print it on 2 sides of A4 which will give you the map on one side and the addresses of all the yards on the reverse).

Don't forget to bring cash for all your finds (as the majority of stalls will only take cash) and plastic bags to carry your bargains home!

Excited to spot some posters up around the village!

Absolutely love this one we clocked today that even has its own frame! Please do tell all your friends and family in neighbouring towns and villages about the event... the more visitors, the merrier and - the more we'll sell!

Just ONE week to go! The trail map is almost finished and we are delighted to say we have a fantastic array of 70 plus yards stretching from one end of Hemingford Grey to the other end of Abbots.

The trail map will be published here on Facebook for you to download, email to friends, print out a few to give to visitors and follow yourself. We would love this to be as car free as possible and encourage everyone to walk, bike and scoot around our lovely villages!

And don't forget to print out your poster and display it somewhere asap so people know you're selling your wares!

Tonight's the night! The 'official' deadline for signing up for a guaranteed The Hemingfords Yard Trail listing on the map is tonight... (but the signup form will remain open right up until the event - and if we can add you to the map before it's published, we will do our utmost!) We have been asked also about additional donations once the sale is complete... you can ABSOLUTELY still pay any additional contributions you would like to give into the JustGiving fund using the same link https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/hemingfordsyardtrail2023 until 24th October, so one month after the event. It's entirely up to you, but if the sale has been a success for you and you would ike to contribute more to our wonderful and important local charity, Hemingford Hub, we would of course be delighted! This is fact made a big difference to the fun raising for the event in 2021 and is very much appreciated!

Hurrah! The Yard count is really going up and we now have more than SIXTY yards participating! And what a perfect weekend to empty the garage and shed!
