Just a few photos from the weekend for everyone but more importantly a thankyou from the three of us.

As if we weren't already amazed by how much we had raised it has just continued to go up and we really cannot thank you all enough, I never thought we would get to even half what we have done now and it makes me so proud to see, I am just waiting on the last transfers from Gofundme to come through at some point in the next few days and then we will be able to donate an incredible £1500.

The difference that this is going to make really is unbelievable and has made all the hard work and aching legs entirely worth it, we had a brilliant time doing it and who knows, perhaps we now fancy another trip 👀

But anyway, Thank you. You are all incredible ❤️

This time next week we will almost certainly be regretting our life choices on our way up to the summit, It is however worth every step. Final preparations coming together now, nerves starting to show but we are also so excited to go and make this happen and so proud of what we have already achieved thanks to everyone who has donated so generously.

It has genuinely made me quite emotional to see just how much support we have and to know the difference that this will make for so many people who need it so when we are cursing ourselves all the way up and down this time next week at least we know we are doing it all for a worthy cause and for you our worthy supporters.

I cannot thank everyone who has already donated enough and I wish I could explain just how much it means to me and the lads to see what we have raised for CLI I never thought we would even get close to this so again, thank you all so much ❤️

7 years ago today we had a knock on the door from the police to give us the news that my Dad had passed away, those 7 years have been so hard at times and at other times I can appreciate what it has made me. I, like many young lads learnt so many valuable lessons from my dad but also from seeing his failures and successes, His sadly short time working with Community Led Initiatives CIC is one of his successes that makes me most proud and taught me one of the best lessons and I like to think that he would be so proud of us raising so much already through this project, Thank you so much to all of you who have already donated it means so much to all three of us to see the number climbing like it has already!

Love you Dad and love you all ❤️

It's only taken me a little while to work this all out!
Fundraiser is now live and we are getting limbered up as its not long now!

19th of June is our offical climb date, 20th of June is our official stay in bed all day unable to move date!

Please share this out to all your friends, anything we can do for CLI will have an impact. People in our communities are missing the help they need every day due to a lack of funding for these organisations and the work they do is so important and I have seen first hand how much it can change lives.

Thankyou so much for any sharing or donating you can do.
Toby, Callum & Rob.

Hello! Men.Walk.Chat has already been so successful and it has been amazing to see, It has inspired a few of us that we might be able to take this even further and hopefully grow our community while raising some money for a very important charity and giving ourselves a BIG challenge!

Toby, Callum and Rob will be taking on The Ben in June with fingers crossed for great weather... maybe not, but if the funds we can raise make even a small impact it will be worth it.

The Charity we are raising money for is Community Led Initiatives Bedford, They are a Lived experience organisation that supports people who are affected by Addiction, Homelessness and mental health issues.
Lived experience organisations basically mean that they operate a peer led support system, These are all volunteers who have themselves experienced any or all of these issues and can now gain an oppurtinity to give back by becoming part of this peer-led support system.

I am probably not doing what they do justice there but from my own experience, They are heroes. My Dad spent years and years suffering with severe mental health issues and addiction, He went through countless counselling programs and various other methods to deal with these issues and despite everyone trying their best it never seemed to achieve very much.
Once he had moved to Bedford and came into CLI's hands the difference in him over a very short period of time was so special to see, The way they work with people as a family of volunteers who have been there themselves and encourage a confidence in yourself that hadn't been there for such a long time.

A confidence that meant not only did my Dad start making some serious progress in his battle but also started to work with them to help others starting their journey with CLI. It was inspiring to hear from my Dad what he was doing with them.

It was an unbeliveable kick in the teeth to say the least when he was taken from us just as he started to make real steps forward but i will forever be greatful to CLI for giving me one my most treasured memories, The last time i saw him before he passed away was the closest to his old self he had been for years, This was entireley from the support and purpose he was given by CLI and i wish he had been given the chance to continue what he started with them, He made me so proud and i hope that by doing this I can at least go some way to carrying that on in his honour.

Sorry to go on!!! I will be posting a link for the fundraiser very soon and of course updates as we continue to plan!

Thankyou,
Toby.
