Welcome to Hungerford Twinning Association!
Hungerford is officially twinned with the town of Ligueil in Indre-et-Loire, France.
Our goal is to establish close family links between Hungerford and Ligueil, and to use this to foster and encourage a broader social community and educational opportunities for children through family and inter-school activities. We have a membership of over 40 people from the Hungerford area and arrange visits between the towns with our French counterparts each year. During visits by the French families to Hungerford, we organise social and educational activities around sites of local interest and also further afield to give our guests opportunities to experience our British heritage.
Our next Twinning visit in September 2024 sees the Ligueil Twinning coming to us here in Hungerford. We'll be hosting three generations of families over the weekend, showing them the best that our beautiful town has to offer.
