Inspirational service users 💙

We’re so grateful to all the service users and family members who gave up their time to help out at the Humber Bridge Sportive last Sunday 🚴

Our team have been humbled by their kindness, generosity, and determination to give back to the community, despite the challenges that brain injury recovery can bring.

We’d like to give a special shout-out to:

Ben and Helen (pictured, centre) for being incredibly enthusiastic and supportive when welcoming riders to the Ulceby feed station. There were many nice comments about your positivity - great work 👏

Jonathan and Sarah (pictured, right) for also helping out at the Ulceby feed station and keeping riders energised and hydrated 💧

Kiernan and his family for assisting at the start line at Barton Town FC, helping the riders get signed in smoothly and seamlessly ✅

Dave, who volunteered as a Marshal along the route at Barton to direct riders and keep them on the right track 🙏

Ian, who also volunteered as a Marshal in the car park to help keep car traffic flowing smoothly 🚗

Kieron, who manned the Elsham feed station for the Short route with his wife, giving riders a vital pit stop along the journey 🍏

Volunteering in small ways at events like this makes a huge difference for what we can achieve in the community. Thank you to everyone who supported us on the day - you’re helping to change lives across the Humber 🙌

Well done Freddie for completing the 40-mile Humber Bridge Sportive course today! 👏👏👏

Cycling 40 miles at 7 years old! 💯

We want to give a massive shout-out to Freddie, who is the youngest ever rider to take on the Humber Bridge Sportive! 🚴

Freddie’s only just celebrated his 7th birthday, but that didn’t stop him from cycling the 40-mile route with his family today to raise life-changing funds for P • A • U • L For Brain Recovery, supporting local people affected by brain injury 🙌

We’re so proud of Freddie for showing incredible resilience and determination - he’s a real inspiration!

And what did he think of his ride? “A bit tiring but okay.”

That’s the spirit Freddie 👏

Today, our Service Delivery Coordinator, Katie, is representing P • A • U • L For Brain Recovery at the very first LiveWell Live event at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe.

LiveWell North Lincolnshire Live has been created to connect people across North Lincolnshire with local services, activities and support networks that help individuals stay well, connected and independent within their communities.

Katie is spending the day raising awareness of the work we do, sharing information about acquired brain injury recovery, and talking to visitors about the support, guidance and hope that we are able to offer to individuals and their families.

If you're attending the event, be sure to stop by and say hello. We'd love to chat with you about our services and how we can support those affected by acquired brain injury.

💙 Together, we can help more people access the support they need on their recovery journey.
