FROM THE GRAVE — This was an incredibly sad but reflective item that I saw during another stop at The American Civil War Museum — Appomattox last year. This canteen belonged to Captain Charles Seton Fleming of the 2nd Florida Infantry. He was killed at Cold Harbor (Virginia) and the canteen was originally buried with him on the field. His remains were later exhumed and the canteen was saved as a memento to remember him.
