What is Sosa?
Sosa stands for “Start of Something Amazing”.
And it really is. This class has a real sense of community. Every body is so welcoming and friendly.
Sosa is a group dance fitness class. No need for a partner! Each class you will learn approx 6-8 routines (excluding warm up and cool down). There are over 37 international dance styles to choose from so you’ll be sure to get a varied dance workout and dance your self happy!
Styles include Cha, cha, Samba, Salsa, Rhumba, Burlesque, Line Dancing, Disco to name a few!
There are ladies from all walks of life in this class. Some have never danced before, some danced when they were little and others are experienced ballroom dancers.
I teach each routine using a layering technique, some ladies like to focus on the foot work, others like to add the arms and others may want a more advanced step. As I always say pick your journey 🙂 the layering technique ensures everybody is comfortable at their own level. Once we have ran through the number we then dance it to the music.
There is never any pressure to get it right. Even I don’t get it right all the time lol. In those instances we have a giggle and try it again the next week. After a few weeks you’ll find that your confidence builds and before you know it you are absolutely smashing it 💃🏼
I hope this helps explain a little about what Sosa is all about. It really is a great way to end your Monday’s 😊
