Meet Richard & Mahdi.
Mahdi is one of our volunteer befrienders. Richard is someone he now meets regularly for a chat and some company.
Loneliness doesn't always look how you'd expect it to. It can affect anyone, at any age, and it often hides behind a smile.
A small consistent act of connection can matter more than people realise. Not a fix, not a service, just someone who turns up and listens.
If you know someone who might be feeling isolated, or fancy being a Mahdi to someone's Richard, please get in touch.
It costs very little to show up for someone but it could mean everything to them!
