September at Let June

Another month of supporting young people across North Kirklees. In September, we were able to provide grants to 7 young people, helping them access opportunities, activities and support that may otherwise have been out of reach.

If you are a local professional working with a young person who you feel could benefit from Let June, we’d be happy to hear from you.

A new school year begins

As children settle into a new school year, teachers and school staff will be getting to know new pupils and seeing children move into different classes and year groups.

This can sometimes highlight a child who may be facing challenges or could benefit from some additional support.

If you identify a child who you feel Let June may be able to help, please get in touch. We work with schools and other professionals across North Kirklees to support children and young people where there is a genuine need.

We look forward to working with you throughout the new school year.

Great news – Chill + Chat is back! 💙

For around eight years, our relaxed group for parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people has been providing support for families.

It started as a series of information sessions, covering topics parents were asking about, but it soon became clear that parents wanted more than information.

They needed somewhere they could talk to other parents, share experiences and feel understood by people who were going through the same things.

More than 100 parents have accessed Chill + Chat over the years and now, it’s back! With regular sessions giving parents and carers a chance to talk, learn and feel supported.

Our first session is:

📅 Thursday 24 September
⏰ 6–8pm
🏡 Northorpe Hall, Mirfield
💬 Topic: Spoon Theory
💷 £5 session contribution

(For those who are unable to join us in the evening, we're also offering a session on Monday 12th October.)
