There's still time to request support through the Let June Summer Essentials Initiative 2026.

🏫 Secondary Schools – up to £750

The deadline is the beginning of July, but we encourage schools to submit requests as soon as possible to allow time for Trustee approval and payment before the end of term.

🚨 NEW FOR 2026 – LET JUNE SUMMER ESSENTIALS INITIATIVE ☀️

Let June is delighted to launch the Summer Essentials Initiative 2026 for schools across North Kirklees.

We were delighted to receive this wonderful feedback from Scholes Village Primary following their recent Robinwood residential trip.

“First of all, may I take this opportunity to say a big thank you for the funding you provided for some of our children to allow them to attend the Robinwood residential last month. Without your support those children would not have had the opportunity to take part in the residential and spend quality time with their class mates.

The children all had a wonderful time and were given the opportunity to try a range of activities they would ordinarily not have access to. These activities ranged from wall climbing and raft building to zip wire and escape rooms.

The children worked on many skills during their time at Robinwood including teamwork, listening and communication as well as problem solving skills. Many of children were pushed out of their comfort zone but thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

It was a wonderful 3 days and a time the children will certainly be remembering and talking about in years to come. Again a massive thank you for the funding you provided to help ensure all children had the opportunity to take part in the trip.”

📚 Inspiring a Love of Reading in Birstall & Batley 📚

We’re proud to shout about an incredible partnership between Let June and BBEST Community Hub CIC, helping children across our community discover the joy of reading as part of the National Year of Reading 2026.

Through this initiative, local schools received curated book boxes packed with engaging, age appropriate titles, alongside simple tools to run their own sustainable book swap schemes. The result? More access to books, more excitement around reading, and more children building confidence and curiosity every day.

The feedback has been amazing, with schools seeing real increases in engagement and enthusiasm for reading 📖✨

This is what happens when local partnerships come together with a shared purpose, breaking down barriers and creating lasting opportunities for young people.

📢 Supporting Young Futures in North Kirklees! 📢

We're thrilled to announce that from January to March 2026, Let June made grants to 36 individual people in North Kirklees.

We provide vital grants to children and young people up to age 17 who need financial assistance to improve their quality of life and access opportunities they might otherwise miss out on.

Do you work with young people in North Kirklees who could benefit from our support? We rely on referrals from dedicated teachers, social workers, faith leaders, and other local professionals who know children in need.
