🥳 "My name is Naveen K, CQP MCQI, originally from India, and now in Saudi Arabia. My interest in Quality began during my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
We had a subject called Total Quality Management. I was deeply impressed by the quality tools and techniques introduced.
What fascinated me most was how the lecturer connected quality principles to real-world industrial applications. This sparked my curiosity and motivated me to explore the field of quality more deeply.
During my internship at Magna International in Chennai, I specifically requested to work in the Quality Department.
I gained hands-on exposure by supporting activities such as daily Poka-Yoke audits, scrap monitoring, and data tracking. This strengthened my interest in quality management.
After graduation, I joined manufacturing as a Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET). Even at that stage, I clearly communicated my interest in quality to the HR team and hiring manager.
Soon after, I moved into a Quality Inspector role, where I was responsible for measuring camshafts prior to production approval and for conducting Poka-Yoke audits, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and daily scrap-rejection analysis.
I transitioned into the automotive sector, joining a greenfield project at Hyundai Mobis, where our major customer was Kia Motors India.
This role gave me extensive exposure to advanced quality practices. I worked on new product development projects, process improvements, change management, ISIR, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
As a mechanical engineer, I was proud to contribute to such critical quality processes in the automotive industry.
I moved to the home appliances industry, joining IFB Industries in Goa, India, where I worked as a Process Quality Head. My responsibilities included problem-solving, change management, and driving quality improvements across processes.
In 2025, I decided to expand my international exposure and moved to the Middle East. I worked at Alghanim Industries in Kuwait as an SQA & Continuous Improvement professional, focusing on supplier and customer quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
I'm currently a Manufacturing Quality Engineer at Hyundai Motor Company.
Alongside my professional work, I am passionate about sharing knowledge in the field of quality and Continuous Improvement.
On weekends, I create quality management content and share it on LinkedIn. This journey has helped me build a community of 27,000+ followers and 13,000+ subscribers interested in learning about quality tools and practices.
I applied for the CQP MCQI professional membership with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) in London, and I’m honoured to have been selected as a member.
