Avoiding Groundhog Day after passing third-party certification: discover 5 ways to create value with your internal audits instead of repeating the same routine in the new CQI Audit Network Quality Perspectives Podcast, Episode 8: Audit Programme Management.

This episode offers practical ideas that go far beyond compliance, whether you're an experienced auditor, manage an audit programme, or want to understand how effective auditing can drive quality and organisational performance.

For many organisations, internal audits begin as a way to achieve certification to standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. But once the certificate is on the wall, it's easy for audit programmes to fall into a familiar rinse-and-repeat cycle.

Tally Singer FCMI our Executive Director: "We held a workshop with our project partners this week to replan the remaining sprints in our CRM replacement project.

A wise person once told me that a project plan was more a statement of intent rather than fact and that the real key to success is how you handle it when things deviate from that intent.

It was a constructive, challenging day that resulted in a shared understanding and a plan we all believe in. Thank you to those involved, Steve Sydee, and the wider project team

🥳 IRCA QMS Lead Auditor Anwar Sadat Jinnah, Senior Business Manager Quality Assurance: "My journey in quality began as a microbiologist in the pharmaceutical industry, where I was responsible for the release of sterile Penicillin-G bulk drug products.

My role covered sterility assurance, environmental monitoring, microbiological analysis, and large-scale fermentation trend monitoring through SCADA-based systems, and established a strong scientific and compliance foundation.

It was there that I first realised the importance of product quality, which is central to a patient’s life - it is about ensuring safety, consistency, and trust in every product. That foundation in science and compliance became the lens through which I approached every challenge that came next.

As my career progressed, I worked across cosmetics and fragrance manufacturing in India, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, where I was involved in research-intensive testing, regulatory and quality management.

This included ensuring that products met both international and regulatory standards and met customer expectations.

I support cross-functional teams in production, R&D, and laboratory operations. These experiences taught me how scientific research, operational processes, and teamwork come together to maintain high-quality standards across multiple sites, and how each challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.

For those looking to enter the field, I would say start with a strong technical foundation, stay curious, and embrace every learning opportunity.

Quality is a field that opens doors to global experiences, meaningful responsibility, and the chance to make an impact. It is more than a role: it is a way to lead, improve systems, and create products that people can rely on.

Today, I work with a research-driven fragrance manufacturer and am pursuing a PhD in Microbiology specializing in Agarwood science.

My work blends scientific research, process integrity, and sustainability, reflecting the same principles I learned at the start: attention to detail, continuous learning, and a commitment to excellence.

Looking back, every step of my journey has taught me that quality is as much about people and leadership as it is about products"
