We think it is unlikely to be anyone in our village, but a polite reminder that our commercial waste bins are only for village hall use. We have recently had mattresses put in them and we get charged extra for waste that should not be in there, plus we need the space for our own rubbish! If anyone sees anything suspicious please let the village hall committee know. We do not really want to lock them up, as we want to store them away from the closest residential properties. Thank you 🙏

Last couple of days to donate bottles for the Gate Group News bottle tombola at Sunday’s Craft Fayre.

Please bring them down to the village hall on Friday evening or let one of the committee members know and we can arrange to collect.

A massive thank you to our community for their generous donations so far, it is appreciated and will keep GGN going for a little while longer!

🍺 A range of German b**rs to try from a stein
🇩🇪 Free shot for German fancy dress
🎶 Oompah band entertainment from Der Huffunpuffers from 7.30pm

For anyone that enjoys and reads the Gate Group News we need your help! The magazine is struggling financially and the bottle tombola at the craft Fayre is the perfect opportunity to show your support and help raise funds. We need donations of bottles to run this and currently are short, with only 8 days left to collect. You can either pop them into the village hall bar on Friday night or pop us a message and someone from the committee can pick them up.

We are quite excited about our first ever Stoktoberfest, so wanted to share our German b**r menu and Sizzlers German menu in advance (they are also doing chips). Hopefully it will inspire you to get your lederhosen on order! We also have an Oompah band starting around 7.30pm.
