August workshop
Tuesday 18th August, at 7:30pm - 9.30pm in the Town Cricklade Town Hall
This month we are welcoming Julie Smith and a model who will provide us with a life drawing opportunity. Life drawing is a really great exercise that benefits all artists, whether or not you draw/paint people, as Julie will explain. She is an excellent teacher offering encouragement and direction and this is a very good opportunity for all members (guests are also welcome).

Please bring along sheets or a pad of paper (A3 or larger is best) and an easel (table or standing) is also useful if you have it. You will want to work in a medium that can be used fast, such as charcoal, pastels, graphite sticks or pencils will do.

As we are welcoming a visiting artist, the cost of the evening will be £10 for members or £12 for guests

Tuesday's workshop led by Gill Olney - Art - tackled the dreaded subject - artist's block, with useful suggestions and exercises to help with moving forward.
A very pleasant way to spend a summer's evening. Thanks Gill x

Artists Block
Dear artists, at our next meeting we will be tackling the subject of 'artist's block'. This is something that I feel certain we have all experienced at some point and it can be very frustrating. During the evening we will be sharing ideas and carrying out a choice of fun exercises that will hopefully get your creative juices flowing. You can even choose to create an ideas generator book that you can take home. Come along to find out more...!

This will take place on the evening of Tuesday 21st July between 7.30 and 9.30pm in the Town Hall Annexe.

Please bring the following:

A pencil and notebook/sketchbook/paper
A fineliner pen
Some colour - coloured pencils are a good choice.

I'll bring along spares so don't worry if you don't have everything, you can borrow mine. All other materials will be provided.

The cost of the evening is just £2.50 for members, or £5.00 for guests, including materials, and refreshments.
