📍 Mental Health Friendly Place Spotlight: Citizens Advice Rutland 💙

We recently visited Citizens Advice Rutland, a local charity providing free advice to anyone who lives in Rutland, to celebrate their commitment as a Mental Health Friendly Place.

Citizens Advice Rutland shared why they chose to become a MHFP:

💬 “We advise many people, some of whom may be experiencing poor mental health, and it is therefore vital that our team is equipped with the skills & tools to have safe & effective conversations. Becoming a MHFP reinforces our commitment to providing a welcoming, understanding and supportive environment.”

A member of the team shared how the Mental Health First Aid training has supported them:

💬 “The framework has been really useful in giving me a clear structure for conversations with clients experiencing mental health difficulties. It has increased my confidence, made it easier to stay calm, listen effectively and respond in a supportive way.”

📦 Received a text about a parcel that hasn't arrived?

Scammers often send messages claiming there's a problem with a delivery, asking you to click a link, pay a small fee, or provide personal information.

Before you click:

✔ Check who sent the message
✔ Don't enter personal or banking details
✔ Be cautious of unexpected delivery notifications
✔ Contact the delivery company directly if you're unsure

These scams can look convincing, but taking a moment to stop and think can help protect you from fraud.
