📣 SNAP Supporters & Volunteers 📣
Hopefully most of you have received your invite by now regarding our meeting on Thursday 17th September at 7.00pm at the Shipton Bellinger Sports & Social Club.
This is a private meeting for SNAP supporters and volunteers only and is not open to the wider public.
The meeting will be an opportunity for us to come together to discuss what the future might hold for Shipton Community Pub Ltd. As a Community Benefit Society, there are a number of options open to us, and we'd really value your views as we begin exploring the next chapter together.

We wanted to share an important update with the village. The Planning Inspector has allowed the owner’s appeal, which means permission has now been granted for development at The Boot Inn and we lose our village pub forever.
This isn’t the outcome we hoped for, and it will come as a surprise and disappointment to so many people who have worked so hard to protect our village pub. But more than anything, we want to say thank you. The support, the turnout, the letters, the encouragement it has shown just how much this community cares about its shared spaces and its future.
We’ll take a little time to regroup, understand the decision in full, and consider what the next steps might be.

Shipton Fete, you were an absolute delight. Sunshine, smiling faces, b**rs flowing and ice creams melting faster than we could eat them. As Shipton Community Pub, we loved being part of the chaos, sorry, we mean community spirit. It was brilliant to see so many supporters popping by the SNAP stands for a chat and a catch‑up. A massive shout out to Carol for the fantastic array of plants she grew, a true horticultural hero. And a big thank you to Geoff and the whole team, without whom the day simply wouldn’t happen.

SCPL Supporting Shipton Fete 2026
Shipton Community Pub Ltd (SNAP) are proud to be supporting the Shipton Fete again this year on Saturday 13th June.
Join us for a brilliant afternoon of family fun, with something for everyone in the village – especially all our keen gardeners 🌸🌱
We’ll have:
🌿 A fantastic plant stall (big thanks to Carol, our sponsor!)
🎯 Classic fete games including boot throwing & hook-a-duck
🎉 A great community atmosphere
We’re always on the lookout for volunteers, whether it’s helping on a stall, setting up, or just lending a hand on the day. Even an hour makes a huge difference—so if you’d like to get involved, please get in touch! Let’s make it another fantastic village day.

☀️🍺 Bank Holiday sunshine and National B**r Garden Day the universe is basically telling us to sit outside with a cold pint. Only thing missing? A b**r garden.
Imagine this weather at The Boot Inn, warm sun, cold glass, neighbours wandering over like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Let’s bring that back, Shipton. And honestly, I already know who I’m buying the first drink for: the first Shipton soul who wanders over saying, “I was just passing…” like we don’t all live 200 yards away.
Let’s make the pub the hub again.

🦆What an absolutely brilliant day Shipton 🦆
A huge thank you to everyone in the village for coming out and making today’s event so special. The turnout, the laughter, the sea of yellow ducks, and the sunshine made it feel like a proper community celebration. A big thank you to the Shipton Bellinger WI for organising such a fantastic event your hard work and enthusiasm always bring the village together, also thank you to Alpha Taxis of Tidworth for sponsoring the prizes. At the Shipton Community Pub, we love supporting days like this. Supporting local events and seeing our community come together is exactly what we’re all about. 💛 Here’s to many more moments just like today full of fun, neighbours, and that special Shipton spirit!

✨ SNAP Jumble Sale – Thank You! ✨
What an amazing day! Our Jumble Sale raised nearly £2.2k for Shipton Community Pub Ltd (SNAP). The café was buzzing, the cakes were incredible, and over 20 superstar volunteers helped make it all happen, we’re all off for a well-deserved thank you drink this weekend! The village gave such lovely feedback about how great it felt to come together as a community and as a community benefit society that means the world to us. Thanks to your donations, we also supported:
• Salisbury Hospital Children’s Ward with toys to refill their toy box
• Shipton Village Fete including some much needed booze!
• Friends of Ludgershall with clothing
• Shipton pre school with clothing
• RSPCA, via the jumble collection company
• RAFA Kidz with leftover toys
• ACE with leftover jewellery for prom outfits
And we made sure leftover cakes and goodies went to villagers who couldn’t attend. Supporting the Community is at the heart of what a Community Benefit Society is about. Thank you, Shipton — you made this incredible.
