Huge thanks to Go Youth Trust who came along earlier in the week to help prepare the ground outside Giulio's on Arnot Street. This will become our first gravel planting project, planting will be later in the year so watch this space as it continues to transform!

Last week Go Youth Trust helped us clear the area at the the old Polish Club/ Sikorski Gardens area, we have plans to creat more pocket gardens in this area in the coming months!

Last year we sowed a small patch of unused ground at the junction of Tanners Road/ Camelon Road (in front of the demolished council building) with wildflower meadow mix. Earlier in the year it wasn't looking so good but how nice is it now!

Full of native wildflowers and alive with bees and beneficial insects!

Earlier this week we completed the planting at Callander Sq, the lupins, Geums and Donoricum are looking great at the moment and the Anthemis is about to burst into flower!

Watch this space for a burst of yellow flowers!

Blooming Bairns is transforming Falkirk into a thriving urban garden that supports healthier people, stronger communities, and a richer natural environment. Through community-led projects, the organisation creates inclusive green spaces, enhances biodiversity, reduces isolation, and encourages local pride and stewardship. Over the past year, Blooming Bairns volunteers have planted more than 2600 plants and 3000 bulbs, helping to create a greener and more welcoming environment.

This weekend we had our first stall at the Falkirk producers market and tidied up some of the barrels and planters in the town centre, thanks to everyone who popped down to say hi and those who bought one of our beautiful planted pots.

Yesterday as part of our continued efforts at Callander Sq in Falkirk Town Centre, the blooming bairns cleared the drain around our new garden area. This should help stop the weeds now and make the space nicer 😊

Our final planting session at Callendar Square is happening tomorrow morning (Monday 8th)!

We’d love for you to come along and lend a hand. Your help made such a difference last time, and it was fantastic to see so many people getting involved.
