🚑🐿️ Alcester CFRs Mia & Tim visited Alcester Squirrel Scouts to talk about the ambulance service and the role of Community First Responders in supporting our local community.

The Squirrels enjoyed learning about the equipment we carry, what happens when you call 999, and even had the chance to look around our CFR scheme vehicle. Thank you for having us—we had a great time! 👍

Chain of Survival

The thoughts of the European resuscitation council are with Christian Eriksen, his family, teammates, friends, and everyone affected by the events on the pitch.

We are relieved to hear that Christian is conscious and receiving medical care. Reports indicate that he was attended to promptly by medical professionals and is currently stable.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of early recognition of medical emergencies, rapid access to trained responders, and well-prepared systems of care in protecting lives.

We wish Christian a full and speedy recovery and send our sincere support to all those around him.

🚑 During May, our volunteer Community First Responders attended 85 emergency calls across our scheme area, responding to incidents within a 10-mile radius.

We were also delighted to find a home for our second scheme car in Bidford during the month. This has already helped increase our availability, with some days seeing two volunteers booked on at the same time — allowing for a potentially wider response area and even more support for our local communities.

We were also pleased to welcome a newly trained volunteer to the team, helping us continue to grow and support our community.

A huge thank you to all of our volunteers for their continued dedication and commitment to helping others. 💚
