💐 Thank You, Gawthorpe and Ossett! 💐
A huge thank you to everyone who turned out on Saturday for The Gawthorpe Maypole Procession – whether you proudly took part or lined the streets and cheered us on. It was another fabulous turnout and truly wonderful to see the village come together once again.
Behind the scenes, our small team of dedicated volunteers has worked incredibly hard, and while they’re now feeling rather tired, they’re also immensely proud of what was another memorable weekend of celebrations 💖
And the festivities didn’t stop with the Procession! Saturday evening saw the May Queen’s Ball, marking the crowning of Maddie Ferdinand as our 2026 May Queen 👑, followed by the May Queen’s Church Service on Sunday evening and the ever‑popular Senior Citizens’ Tea and Treat on Monday evening, which rounded off the weekend perfectly.
Thank you all for your continued support – events like these simply wouldn’t happen without this amazing community.
