These two are Victoria and David and are a devoted couple. They are in desperate need of a new home and are currently here at Huntingdon. They share Beckingham Palace but need their own home with some new hoomans. They must go together as they will wake up the next village when they are apart 🤣

If you are interested.. you know the routine. Email us [email protected] or send us a message and we can get the process started

We did a small farm yesterday in the South West with just 6 volunteers that ended up being 200 over the expected number for hens. Those hens are now here at Huntingdon and Peterborough Fresh start for hens. We have around 300 girls looking for their new forever home. We've done well rehoming yesterday and today but are still well over where we hoped to be number wise. Do you have space at home to give these girls their new start in life. To help we are willing yo rehome any day or evening. Sadly our van has a poorly gearbox so we cannot travel . But we will accept rehom8nslgsvto suit your diary. Message us or email us at [email protected] and let's give these girls a Fresh start ❤️❤️

At Huntingdon and Peterborough we are whats known as a bank where we have about 8 runs that can care for 500 plus hens when we have more hens than homes. We never leave a hen behind so they all.come with us to a few locations around the country and this is what allows us to re-home around 8000 birds annually just from here.

We are in urgent need of repair and replacement to many of our runs and several are about to be decommissioned. We also have a couple of other locations nearby that have agreed to support our bank operation.

So we are asking if anyone has spare Heras Fencing Panels. That you jo longer need and could donate to our rebuilding project.

Each run needs 8 panels for the housing and a further 8 for a protected outside free ranging run area. These are all bolted together floor side and ceiling making them as predator proof as possible.

If you have any fence panels you no longer need please getbin touch and we can come and collect and see if we can beat last years rehoming numbers from here.

DM us or email [email protected]

As always thank you so much for helping us rescue these lovely girls ( and boys, ducks, geese etc etcl

We're collecting hens from a caged farm next weekend, 3rd January, and there are still few girls without homes, so please pop over to our website to reserve.

Please note, these girls should not go in with large cockerels for at least 6 weeks as they are little fragile with poor bone density.

Hens are available from:

Bedford
Boston
Cambridge
Huntingdon
Milton Keynes
Peterborough
Spalding
Warboys (Cambs)

Collection will over the weekend if 3rd, 4th and 5th January

If you think you can offer these girls a better retirement than their "working lives" so far, please visit the website to reserve
