The Children’s Inn was originally a 17th Century Coaching Inn, standing on the coach road between Manchester and Derby. In 1933, it came into the hands of The Guide Association. The Ranger Inn was the Coach House/Stable building which was converted in 1988 into an Outdoor Activities Centre f

or Guide, Ranger and Adult groups. The village of Rowarth is 1/2mile beyond The Inns and there are plenty of short, scenic walks in the locality.
