The Family Place Foundation would like to extend a huge thank you to the Black Mountains Lions Club as they come to the end of their journey. Their support in recent years has meant so much to us 💚

We were honoured to join their final charity evening at the Baskerville Hall Hotel.

We are incredibly grateful for their generous donation, along with the contributions they’ve made previously, all of which will continue to support vulnerable children, young people and families in our local community.

Wishing all members of the Black Mountains Lions Club the very best for the future ✨

Last week we held our wonderful woodland residential course 'Exploring Therapeutic Work in Nature' in a beautiful setting in the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Here is a snapshot of our time in the woods with a truly fantastic group of participants.

Thank you to Woodland Park Glamping and to The National Lottery Community fund and The Family Place Foundation for their support.

The Moondance Foundation is an independent funder offering grants to organisations and causes that provide transformational changes in communities across Wales.

We are delighted that The Moondance Foundation has chosen to support The Family Place Foundation for another year, with funding for Family Activity Days for children who can find it very hard to access typical family activities.

The Family Place Foundation extends our heartfelt gratitude to Lindenleaf CIO for their continued support. Their generous funding will directly contribute to our Therapeutic Residential Camps, providing invaluable experiences for fostered, adopted, and kinship care children and their families.

For many families we support, accessing typical family activities can be challenging due to the complexities of caring for children and young people who have experienced trauma or have additional needs. These camps offer a safe and enriching environment where families can create lasting memories, build resilience, and strengthen their connections.

Thanks to Lindenleaf CIO, we can continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

A big thank you to The Postcode Community Trust (People's Postcode Lottery) who funded a variety of activity days which have been hugely beneficial to a range of highly vulnerable families.

We’ve delivered a broad range of activities, many of which are based outside. These include farm and gardening work, mountain exploration, woodwork, woodland and fire activity day and horse riding. We’ve also involved families in a broad range of cooking activities, creative games, music (with a group of professional musicians), and involvement in a Carols for Christmas event.
