That’s a wrap on the annual South Downs Way 100 Miles Relay for this year. The most horrible conditions but when the games afoot, the foot just gets going! Congratulations to every one of our runners, drivers, and a whole marshalling team at Saddlescombe - and to every club that competed yesterday. Heroes all!

Oh boy it was ‘not that nice’ out at Beachy Head this morning as our men’s and ladies teams started the invitation-only South Downs Way Relay. This is called a ‘getting the job done’ day!

The Ladies team have started the South Downs Way Relay, with the men starting at 8am 🥳

Looking forward to having an amazing day on the downs. Some teams may not enjoy the rain but we have a few runners looking forward to it!

We also have an amazing group of volunteers marshalling at Saddlescombe Farm on D**e Road. If you're going that way today, please drive with caution but give the runners and volunteers a hoot and cheer!!

Massive congratulations to our Aileen who smashed out 24 4.1 mile laps of Stanmer Park to cover 101 miles in total at the Brighton Backyard Ultra. (Every hour, on the hour, participants start a lap, the only rest is the difference between finishing one lap and starting the next - so Aileen ran for 24 hours!)

We had a fabulous evening at our annual NAKED 5K tonight (not as bad as it sounds - no watches or phones allowed, estimate your 5k time, closest wins). Congratulations to David Hodgkin who won by being 4seconds out from his estimate! But everyone is a winner really! Thank you to Berretts Farm for hosting us!

📍 The Cabin at Berretts Farm
⏰ Juniors (Reception – Year 11): 6pm / Adults: 7pm

The Cabin will also be open to enjoy a post-run drink or snack.

Whether you’re a regular runner or just fancy giving it a go, everyone is welcome regardless of ability or experience 😊

The Green Team were everywhere this weekend - we couldn’t fit everyone in but here are the Events - from Austria to Gran Canaria, Windsor to Battersea and of course the Steyning Stinger!

February Distance Challenge

We made it!

71 Henfiled Joggers members ran/jogged/walked/moved an incredible 8620 miles from 1st to 28th February!

That’s equivalent to :
✈️London to Australia
🌍~1/3 of the Earths circumfrance
🇬🇧~10x lengths of the UK

Well done eveyone, it works out to be an average of 121 miles per particpating Jogger!

Well done to Team 8 who covered an incredible 1158 miles, and to Guy Hudson for the closest prediction for overall total mileage. Easter eggs to all winners will be arranged!
