This week 105 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 26 were first timers and 14 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 18 different clubs took part.

Sun, Smiles, and Milestone Magic!
Oh, what a lovely morning we had at Sunny Hill! The sun was absolutely beaming down on us, and the park has never looked better. I was out there pacing at 28 minutes, which gave me a front-row seat to see so many of you tackling those slopes with such a smile.
We had some proper celebrations today! David reached his 450th parkrun! He was far too modest and tried to let it pass quietly, but Simon wasn't having any of that. He made sure we gave David a massive shout-out, and quite right too that’s a lot of Saturday mornings! Ana hit her 50th milestone, and as if that wasn't enough, she brought along a vegan banana cake. It was a total treat, thank you, Ana. We also saw Katsu hitting 25, and young Jacob Newson visiting from Leeds for his 25th as well! His mum kindly let us "frame" him for a photo, what a natural runner he is!
Our Local Legends & PBs
It was wonderful to see Penny at her usual spot, and Harry was there as always, encouraging us and making us feel like that "hill concept" is all just in our heads.
A massive "well done" to our local legend Tracy. After three years of dealing with those pesky sports injuries, she smashed a new PB of 22:56 and is sitting right at the top of the Age Grade table! She’s proof to all of us that if you just keep going, you'll get there.

A huge Sunny Hill welcome to our first-timers: Cassia, Jacob, Katsu, Cath, and Karen. A special shout-out to Cassia who finished just ahead of me! It was her first time on our hills and she made it look effortless, finishing in style with a sub-28 time of 27:54.
Our little community is certainly growing! We’ve got new mums, new grandparents, and it was lovely to see Alan out with his "mini one". Even our Run Director Sophie managed to get a run in while keeping us all in tip-top order.
We had visitors from Newcastle (Leazes) and Crawley joining us today, we hope you enjoyed our hills!
The local cafe was absolutely buzzing afterwards. Our local physiotherapist was even behind the counter making coffee for everyone! It’s just so lovely how everyone looks after one another.
