NJC Pay Update

While Unison City of Sunderland members made it quite clear that the NJC pay offer fell short of expectations. We did not meet the 50% threshold we needed to progress to industrial action.

Therefore, along with GMB and UNITE we have reluctantly agreed to accept the offer.

What has been agreed:

• A 3.3% pay rise on all NJC pay points.
• A 3.3% increase in allowances.
• Backdated to 1st April 2026.
• It will be in September's pay.

On behalf of your Branch I would like to thank everyone that took the time to vote and post them back. I would also like to thank my team and my regional support for all of their hard work that went into this campaign.
