Friends of the unicorn centre would like to thank those who donated to our go fund me appeal. We have now donated £6787.06 raised via the go fund me to the Unicorn Centre. We would like to thank you again for your contribution and support offered throughout such an uncertain time. It means a lot to everyone involved and without your support we would not be were we are today so thank you. Sadly our lovely Iris has been under the weather recently. She's had a re-occurrence of stomach ulcers which make her feel really uncomfortable. Our vets Hambleton Equine Clinic have been supporting her throughout her illness, and have recommended a further course of treatment. We have tried this before, and although it worked at the time, we need to repeat it to get her right. This is going to cost us a further £850. This unexpected but necessary expense will impact our finances just when we don't need it. If there are any kind souls who could help us by making a tiny donation, either direct to the office or through our Appeal, we'd be so grateful. Today we received a Will Bequest of £10,000 to be used towards our staff costs. What a mixed set of emotions: incredulity, gratitude and sadness due to the circumstances. We don't know who made the bequest, but to the family who made it happen, we send our heartfelt condolences on your loss, and our grateful thanks for your amazing kindness at such a sad time.
