🌟 What a wonderful way to celebrate !

We were delighted to attend the Kings Langley Local Charity Event, where our Trust Manager and incredible volunteer Sarah were joined by the Deputy Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Liz Green OBE, to honour the people who make our community shine.

Volunteers like Sarah are the heartbeat of everything we do at Dacorum Community Trust, and days like this are a reminder of just how much joy and impact giving your time can bring.

🌿 Thank you Waitrose & Partners Berkhamsted!

We are so grateful to have received £500 through the Waitrose green token scheme. This funding will go towards our emergency kitchen starter packs – essential items like crockery, cutlery, and utensils that we give to people who are moving into new accommodation after homelessness, or who have had to flee their previous home, and have nothing.

A new home is just the beginning. Having the basics to cook, eat, and make a cup of tea makes all the difference to someone starting over.

Our Trust Manager, Dena, visited the store to collect the cheque in person. Thank you to every single shopper who dropped a token in our box – you helped make this happen. 💚

A huge thank you to Nuffield Health Hemel Hempstead for their egg-stremely kind donation of Easter eggs 🐣🍫

Thanks to their generosity, we were able to distribute to local families, some of whom told us they wouldn't have been able to afford them otherwise. This really highlights the difference your support has made.

We hope you all had an egg-stra special Easter 🐣

Dacorum Community Trust were proud to be out in force, marshalling at the Berko Half Marathon and cheering on all the incredible runners. Despite the weather doing its best to challenge us, it turned out to be a lovely day filled with great spirit, determination and plenty of friendly competition!

A special shoutout to two of our amazing volunteers (one pictured here alongside members of the Rotary Club) – teamwork at its best! 🙌

Well done to everyone who took part and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the event such a success. Community spirit was truly on display! 💙

🌟 Random Acts of Kindness Day 2026 🌟

Kindness isn’t always random — sometimes it’s consistent, practical and delivered exactly when it’s needed.

Between April and September 2025, Dacorum Community Trust issued 584 items of support to people facing financial hardship across our community.

This included:
• Food and supermarket vouchers
• Beds, mattresses and essential furniture
• Energy and travel support
• Household items, uniforms, and starter packs

Each item represents more than a statistic — it represents dignity, compassion and support where needed.

👉 If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. You can apply for our support — or ask someone you trust to apply on your behalf.

👉 If you know someone who might need help, a simple share or tag could be the kindest thing you do today.
